  1. Is that in March, as promised?

  5. His "Out Out" tour of about 3/4 years ago was absolutely outstanding. Hilarious. On the back of this he sold out 12 nights at the O2 and three nights at Wembley for his new nationwide 2017 tour - Unfortunately these shows were just "so so" imo. And didn't live up to the level of the tour that made him, but who can blame him for striking whilst his popularity is at a peak if you are thinking of investing in the dvd "an another fing" - I'd give it a miss. Having said that I like the guy a lot - he's naturally funny, so his other TV work is also very good - as is the desert island discs.

Not enough people like you to keep it going i'm afraid. sorry you have lost something you relied upon but that's just how it is innit. There doesn't have to be an available alternative.
  9. I wasn't really talking about size James. without checking I feel sure this is a smaller festival than hyde park or Blackheath in terms of travelling numbers. and hyde park has these all summer. There were local resident objections to blackheath festival (and probably every other festival) but its now perceived as a great success. Surely these festivals are becoming the norm and we all have to put up with one being nearby and people enjoying themselves. A minority will always misbehave but I'm sure it will be fine overall, if for any reason it's not, I'm sure it won't be happenimg again.

And as it says a much bigger event is at Brockwell Park. Lots of other public parks/spaces have festivals - Blackheath, Finsbury Park, Hyde Park etc

  12. I was there and nobody told me any of this :( Most things go over my head any way. I was going to complain about the men's toilets which were a disgrace. Hardly matters now.

Currently available at 14-1 for the > win and 25-1 for the Grand Slam, tempting... Seems the scots optimism was short lived. think they will still make an impression though. Any Irish win in Paris is to be celebrated as a rare treat, but that was a very exciting finish. I couldn't believe he was going to try to kick it from there and then I couldn't believe he got it!
  14. ED needs to up its game just to catch up with Peckham never mind anywhere else.
  15. Sorry to hear that SpringTime. Assuming your post is literal, I wish you good luck with the support process.
  16. Well done DF , and anyone else who did this.

I'd say utility rooms take up a lot of space best used other ways. We got rid of ours when we did a side return.
  19. Get a grip.
  20. Grace - is this a theoretical project or something that could be turned into reality? either way its a good exercise and hopefully we can see your conclusions. Personally I'd love to see it turned into a pedestrianised area. But I don't know of what impact this would have on other roads. The market for example falls way short of Herne Hill market in terms of ease of use. Markets are generally accessed from the inside between two rows of stalls - Could the road be raised to create an even surface for the weekend. if pedestrianized it could become a significant draw as a shopping and restaurant space. Would be good for the area. we don't have many areas in ED where we can sit outside a restaurant that doesn't front on to a major thoroughfare!
  21. I wonder if you polled the people in the UK who had bought these coats in the last couple of years how many would say they knew the collar was cayote fur when they bought the coat ?
  22. Ok so I'm getting there in my own mind perhaps..... There were 10 new openings in the year you refer to - so not 38 but 28 had been open all year. If you assume then they opened equally through the year then an average of 33 outlets for the year 815k / 33 = 25k turnover per out let, per week, on an all year average basis. Some weeks will be much better and some outlets will be much better than others. I don't think its impossible for one outlet to have done 45 k in a particularly good week.
  23. Maybe not. Firstly no one was talking about profits, it was takings. I said that Gails DV could have done 45k in a week, but certainly not every week, that's possible for me, not completely outlandish. Although I wouldn't have believed it if it hadn't been quoted from someone. As for the figures quoted, I'd imagine some of the 38 retail units above are well short of their DV entity performance and for an enterprise that's expanding, many of the 38 referred to may have opened up in the year of the accounts you refer to, therefore not incorporating a full years takings? Even the numbers quoted suggest an average of turnover of 815k/38 shops is on an all year basis, across all 38 entities is ?16k per week. I don't think therefore its impossible for one shop, possibly their most profitable outlet, to have done significantly better than that in one particular week.
