I quite like using the Bee and (lascal) buggy board now with nearly 4 year old and 15 month old. It wouldn't have worked initially though, we do loads of walking and toddler wouldn't stay on. She is great at scooting but I found it stressful chasing after her with baby and buggy. I had a Phil and Teds which I wouldn't have been without. Found it invaluable being able to strap both kids in and get out of the house early on. Once baby was out of the cocoon (3 months) toddler sat in the bottom seat when she was tired but mostly scooted or walked. It was good to have the option of that 2nd seat though. We sold it on the EDF after about a year. P&t was annoyingly huge but it did the job for a short time.

We got some skiing gloves for E from H&M so far so good. They only cost about ?3 too!

My daughter gets this a lot, she's a very snotty child! We alternate between savlon and e45. We took her to the see the Dr at one stage when it started to look a bot nasty and were given an antibiotic cream (fusidin?) and advised to use it whenever it looks angry. We have done and touch wood her nose has been much better. Oh and we make sure put a lot on when she's asleep.

We had the same issue. My daughter always had a small scab or 2 on her face that never got the chance to heal as she would just pick at it constantly. She sucks her fingers when she's tired too which doesn't help as she'd do it at the same time. We kept her nails really short, cutting them every other day and slathered on Savlon or E45 when she was asleep. We bought her a comforter thing in the hope that she would rub that on her face rather than pick but that didn't really work. Daughter is now nearly 4 and hasn't been doing it for the last 6 months or so, hoping she's just grown out of it. Last winter it was awful though so I do sympathise.

Gingernuts definitely. I find most others get too soggy and break mid dunk?! And anything with chocolate is too messy...

Anything running this weekend for toddlers?

We went to Discover today, it's great! Would really recommend. My 3 and 1 year old loved it. -
Norfolkvillas those are the models we have,

I had a Cameleon for my first child and loved it but wasn't ideal on public transport though it is narrower than most prams with carrycots. Now have a Bee + (2nd hand on this forum) which I love. Fantastic on bus and train and in small shops. I use an Ergo sling tpo but find it tricky when I've got things to carry. As mentioned the fact you can steer it 1 handed is fab.

We use 2 bt monitors (think they are different models though, 1 is def the 150) and they don't interfere with each other at all. Can't comment on the music as we've never used it.

Ooh that looks great, thanks fuschia. I had a successful trip alone with 2 little ones to the transport museum the other week if that helps sb..

Breast feeding vs formula feeding
crystal7 replied to midivydale's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Ha ha, we've always had that input/output arrangement! Seriously though in my experience there are loads of things dad can do f the period of time in which they're exclusively breastfed is so short anyway. I can relate to fmm's experience with baby 2 though. Dad isoften too busy dealing with older child to do all the winding/changing etc. I used to get my OH to take baby 2 out in the sling for a n hour or 2 so I could spend time with my daughter but he did end up not doing as much for him than he did for our daughter. Made no difference long term though, at 13 months he adores daddy, they both do! Oimissus I think you're spot on about how important a partner's support is, especially in the early days. -
That's interesting about the Goats milk, problem is she's a fussy little madam- would have to sell it to her as big girls milk...Thnaks for the responses.

Please excuse the subject matter, not one to read if you're about to eat! My daughter is 4 in February and throughout the winter months suffers from a constantly running nose. There are 2-3 week periods when it stops before starting all over again until Spring/Summer. I have to be on guard with a tissue as she is unable or unwilling to blow her own nose (will wipe sometimes)and as a result her nose can get rather sore. There are no other symptons of a cold e.g. she eats and sleeps normally, doesn't have a sore throat or a cough. Sometimes the snot is very dark and green (sorry). It's been going on for 2 years. I have taken her to the GP several times as it doesn't seem normal to me. I know that children get all sorts of viruses at this time of year, I am a primary school teacher so well used to snotty children! But the fact that it doesn't seem to be a cold as she isn't ill is strange? GP said it was completely normal and would get better as she gets older. I asked about allergies but was told that was very unlikely given we have no family history and that there are periods of time when she is without snot. I have an appointment to see a different doctor next week. I wonder if anyone else has experienced this in their child? I hope I don't come across as neurotic, just feel sorry for her having me hovering with tissues when she's trying to play... She goes to nursery 3 days per week by the way. Thanks!

I'm interested. My non sleeper is 13months. -
Ha ha pickle. I've read them all (on my kindle so no one knew!), engaging read but can't believe anyone would take it seriously?! We don't get out much as a couple. Tricky as we don't have family near by and worry kids (1 and 3) might wake up and freak out if someone unknown was there. My parents babysit when we go to stay with them so probably about 4 ish times per year. Glad it's not just us. Still breastfeeding the little one so it's always a bit of a rush to get out. In answer to the op, I'd be happy to have the bed to ourselves without a small person in the middle kicking me in the head!

I know what you mean Midivydale. I feel all grown up and er mumsy when I take them to the Drs or buy them shoes...

I'm with Lochie! I have a very fussy 3.5 year old who often refuses to eat anything at all for breakfast. I'm a teacher and I know the impact no breakfast can have on learning but I can't force her to eat! At the moment on the days I work she can have breakfast a nursery, if we're at home though I often bribe her to eat her cereal with the promise of a choc button or 2 or a choc chip brioche. Dreading her starting school as there won't be time to coax her each morning. I love food and will eat anything, had visions of having a child who devoured lentils and oily fish. Hoping she grows out of it! Baby boy loves to eat which makes me feel a bit less guilty though there is time for him to turn! To return to the op's point, I too would judge but perhaps not quite so quickly as I once would have!

tights for little girls with small feet

Annoyingly H&M don't have much online, you need to go to a shop. We've got some stripey ones bought a few months ago. -
tights for little girls with small feet
crystal7 replied to oimissus's topic in The Family Room Discussion
H&m have heels I think. Mothercare but they are only 50% cotton so don't feel very nice. My little girl has small feel too but also short legs so always wears a smaller size. I think Gap and Jo Jo do the best tights for little girls but may not work for those with long legs! -
Love the Museum of Childhood in Bethnal Green (Overground to Shoreditch then 15th min or so walk). Sandpit and puppets for toddlers and lots of old toys for parents to reminise about. Cafe nice too. Docklands is also great for toddlers and easy to get to.

Breastfeeding Advice Please!

I gave birth at Kings last October and they provided maternity towels so my huge pack went unused! Not sure if this is standard? -
Peckham soft play - do you need to book?
crystal7 replied to pilsbury's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I went a few weeks ago and it was pristine! 3.5 year old was disappointed that the big slide and "dark bit" had gone though. -
I assumed wheelchairs had priority over buggies, am quite shocked by Lochie's experience. Londonmix is spot on I think.
