  1. They are a bit hit and miss about accepting certain items but as long as you've tried that's great.
  2. I couldn't agree with zork more. Nursery and Reception age children are still learning through play etc. but because a lot of children are looked after outside the family setting i.e. nurseries, nannies, childminders many parents suddenly worry when their child is ready for full time school, even if they are the youngest.
  3. I like reading notices on trees and railings. It's a good way to advertise something going on in the area and also for example if you're cat has gone missing etc. It's a good old fashioned way to do it as not everybody is on social media. Lots of schools, churches, shops have also become very inclusive over the years and won't allow a sign/poster to be put on their premises for something going on in the area so it's all a bit hit and miss.
  4. What an arrogant attitude worldwiser! Perhaps that's why we've got to the stage that you either use it or lose it! i.e. that you put your bins out where they're mean't to be for collection.

Not one person ever. So I > doubt this will catch on... You are lucky that your bins have been collected then worldwiser and just be grateful that they are. The bin people have a lot to contend with on their collections and the collection details have been on the Southwark website/common sense for years now.
  6. Quite simple really. The sticker should be placed just below the handle facing the street ready for collection. That's what I've always done anyway for collection for the brown bin over the years.
  7. I would agree with Francine. If you are a Registered Childminder with Southwark and therefore Ofsted then you can charge what you want as you are self employed and providing a service to parents in the area that want your services.
  8. Didn't know there was a mosque in East Dulwich? Can you enlighten us Sue?
  9. Sorry teddyboy, you changed more than one letter. Licks
  10. I wish the old sweet shop well and hope they can survive for the next 30 odd years. I posted about Just For You, the clothes shop at Camberwell Butterfly Walk having to move to re-locate but walked past Pesh Flowers on Denmark Hill yesterday and looks like they have shut down too. Very sad, as they also had an upstairs workshop that helped people cope with their cancer diagnosis.
