Maybe pedestrians have been knocked down by cyclists dashing across the pedestrian bit? So something needs to be done.

Your pics are fine in the first post! It's a big coach and probably the first of many (and other vehicles like black cabs, company vehicles) if your street has 'free' parking.

Was at BHS Lewisham today. If you can get there by 185 and P4 buses they had lots of kids school uniform on sale at 70% off. Lots of trousers/skirts in every colour, white tops, shirts, cardigans in all colours. All really good quality and starting from reception age. Couldn't believe how cheap they were.

Was at Jaflong on Sunday (second visit). One of the waiters told us they were relocating to row of shops opposite the Tesco because it had a bigger space. -
Depends on what you mean by permanently leaving the bins outside? On collection day I try to leave the bins just inside/outside the gate for collection. Had a letter from Southwark a while ago saying not to leave bins on the pavement, which I didn't do anyway but maybe this was the case. Not sure what part of the borough you live in but our bin men are good at staying on top of the situation!

Genuinely asking what/where is the ML&G shop?

I hope the little girl is ok. Brockwell lido brings back good and bad memories for me as my dad had enjoyed good days (have a photo of him at Brockwell in the 50s) but one summer day I remember he took me and my sisters to Brockwell lido and I had to fight to get to the surface of the water as a big lout had jumped on top of me! I can still remember the moment of panic and trying to get to the surface of the water. Previous to this we had a good time learning how to swim there. After that episode I became very nervous about swimming in general and even now I'm a cautious swimmer.

I regularly visit B&Q, the charity shops, the home ware shops, the supermarkets, the cemetery, the health and leisure centre which includes the locum service for surrounding areas i.e. herne hill GP practices send you here if you can't get an appointment at the local GP. Alright for some people that can travel but not so good if it's a bit of a trek. Never felt unsafe in the area and the transport links are very good.

Get a ladder?! Maybe ideal for you but not for the people who live in the two houses? Southwark Council are the people to contact about allotments. If they don't own them etc. they can put you on to people who do have a say etc.

It's so hit and miss with the doctors.

Lovely film but I wonder what time of day this was filmed? people on the street look few and far between and the roads are very empty of traffic. Edited to add hope you are settling well in Canada. It must be a life changing event for you!

You have a crochet needle point ahead for that Robert. I'm trying to finish off a scarf.

Urmm, if you can't rely on family why rely on friends?

Seabag said there's no replacement to (for) cul de sac but there is: it's known as a dead end.

A very jumbled post from the start! Working Mummy seems to start lots of posts and then they all get lost in the EDF way of things!
