Sainsburys, Dog Kennel Hill

Not surprised they would move it to a more prominent spot. There's always money in the banana stand. -

Visitors went to Kartuli recently and were very enthusiastic. It's Georgian food. https://www.kartuli.co.uk -

It specialises in wine from Georgia, and it specialises in wine from Georgia. </policesquad> -
Sainsburys, Dog Kennel Hill

You are being disingenuous. Obviously not everyone has the time to walk up and down Lordship Lane or Rye Lane for their shopping. I don't either. But buying stuff at local shops that aren't Sainsburys doesn't necessarily mean buying expensive or luxury stuff. -
If it has an open access hummus mill, I'm in!

They might be behind a counter or something along with fireworks, spray paint etc - I think their sale is prohibited to kids. -

Ally Mc Beal and Melrose Place star Courtney Thorne-Smith, being impossibly glamorous recently in Le Cave Du Bruno. -
Chipotle East Dulwich now open
Dogkennelhillbilly replied to JamesPardy55's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I had the same experience (although didn't bother with complaining). Dead atmosphere, indifferent staff, and tepid food. But I liked the seats and it has clean publicly-accessible toilets 🚻 so that's a good thing to have on Lordship Lane. 😃 -

There's a new place opposite the Nationwide in Brixton called Taco Twins. I haven't been there. I appreciate that's not East Dulwich but if you're taking the 37, P4 or tube home, it's on the way... -
It would be great to see that. There are co-working spaces at Oru (Lordship Lane), the Paxton (Gipsy Hill), the building on Rosendale Rd, and (informally) Dulwich Library...

Joseph's Fish & Chips, SE22
Dogkennelhillbilly replied to jazzer's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
It's very good. Best in the area IMO. The chicken nuggets are excellent too. Shame there isn't more seating in their small space. If The Plough let people bring food in from Joseph's, I'd probably be at both places much more! -
Lloyds Pharmacy North Cross Road is closing
Dogkennelhillbilly replied to Lynne's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Seems like a corporate decision to more or less exit the retail market rather than anything to do with this particular branch. Perhaps the last minute uncertainty was because they were hoping an independent pharmacist would buy it? Sad for the people who worked there. -
Loving the suggestion that London could shortly get overwhelmed by cycle traffic and that banning bikes will be the only sensible solution. 🤣🤣🤣 Let's cross that bridge of wild success and overachievement when we come to it, eh?

It's a huuuuge kitchen they have there. I hate chains but I might be tempted. There's a brilliant Mexican place in West Norwood. It has a tiny seating area and a booze licence, but it's mostly takeway and delivery. Mojo Burritos and Tacos, 18 Knights Hill, London SE27 0HY. -
New Shops in Dulwich / Peckham

Again, not East Dulwich but near it: Lulu's is a little wine and beer bar in front of Herne Hill Station on Railton Rd, SE24. It looks busy and jolly, if you're into those kinds of things (which I'm not, obviously 😡). -
Dulwich is exactly the wealthier part of Southwark where residents own more cars and drive more miles - and yet pay nothing to keep their cars parked on the council-maintained streets where space is at a premium. Unless new rail lines are built, PTAL scores will always be lower around here when buses are slower and less reliable - and the main reason for that around here is cars slowing buses down, and valuable street space being allocated to parking for private cars instead of bus lanes. There's an immense amount of concern trolling on here for the effect CPZs will have on poor and disabled people - but weirdly none of the opponents have any positive suggestions on how to fix the situation, or want to increase tax on rich people more, or improve air quality for sick people, or reduce the number of private cars that are not transporting blue badge holders.

It is, of course, possible to suggest any old cobblers, as proven by the OneDulwich guy and several thousand unhinged posts on here. 🤷
