  1. Am going to go to PR One o'c club Weds am ... and possibly again Friday pm if they need more stimulation (we have something else on Fri am but I'm told there are special activities on on Fridays over the hols) Was really nice to put some faces to names and thank Mr and Mrs CitizenED for helping to wrangle my twins through the aquarium (I'm afraid I just can't take them in there on my own!) and I think it was rather swqeet my oldest asked me to get the number of your oldest! He has a good grasp of the playdate concept and was very dejected when I said NappyLady's oldest DD was going to be away on holiday imminently so was unlikely to be there...

  3. Nice to meet people!!!
  4. Oh dear, it be raining. Hopefully will improve by 930 when we need to start getting mobilised. I think PR one oc club is open this morning as an alternative, but it's so small inside it's not very good when it's raining either.. Inside at the Horniman with TWO toddlers isn't much fun, I have found...
  5. Look for the cluster of mums that includes my grey double nipper buggy and come say hello...
  6. Mon, Weds and Fri I heard
  7. I think that's normal too... little and often is the name of the game at first.. tiny little tummy and has been used to having nutrition pretty much drip fed...
  8. lol at the Horniman sandpit..
  9. Yes, unless it's raining I will be there with a double side by side buggy and sit either by the climbing wall or behind the helicopter.. have a grey picnic blanket PM is anyone wants mobile no x 10-10.30?
  10. How's it going?
  11. Her milk has come in, is the problem i guess hence the engorgement and poor baby struggling with the new breast shape1 Cabbage down the bra is good... watch out for her getting the shivers/bit of a temp if she gets overengorged (touch of mastitis)
  12. This is a problem a lot of us have had, so hopefully with some help on the latching and moral support for each other, you will get through this....
  13. Is there anyone on this no: Infant Feeding Co-ordinator 020 3299 3833 ? I;d be tempted to call the postnatal ward and ask if you can go in and get some help.....
  14. Have you tried the postnatal ward? If you have some milk expressed, offer it from a tiny cup or a syringe (from chemist) to make sure she's getting enough. Is she very sleepy? It's not quite an emergency yet if she fed at 2.30am, don't panic. These things always happen on a weekend eh? Verona Hall is a local independent MW: http://www.veronahall.co.uk/#/lactation-consultancy/4527483363

  16. Sounds like the baby is finding it hard to latch because you are so engorged. Can you express some milk off? Do you have a pump? How long has this been going on for? How old ia the baby, has it taken any milk? As emergency solution i;d suggest expressing and giving the baby some milk via syringe and working very hard to get her/him latch on. Call the post natal ward at Kings and ask for the community midwives? Someone should come to see you or you should be able to go in, i would have thought.
  17. You can go up to Kings I believe and see Claire Kedvers...
  18. Linkadoos rocker we got second hand for ?10, nice seat and vibrates if you need it. Grows with toddler. Our 7 yo can fit in it even!! Battery swings can be a godsend too...
  19. As well as my suggestion of Hornuiman sandpit Monday, if weather os good how about the one o'c club as it is to be open in the morning (yay!)
  20. For home a big standard plastic one with sides that we put behind the sofa. Though we often do it just on the floor/bed with a muslin under. Wipe clean is the best thing! For changing bags, have a skip hop or something similar which is quite nice (clips to buggy handle) I have never really got into the whole changing bag thing... a bag is a bag as far as I am concerned.. some cost upward of ?70!!!
  21. TAMBA (Twins assoc) have circulated info that TFL agree that double buggies should be allowed on via the rear doors.
  22. Having had several bad expwriences I no loger try to use buses with my twin buggy. I did complain to TFL twice about separate incidents in one week, but you don't get any acknowledgement or response
  23. Damzel, I will be junking M's nappy as soon as I get round to it.. will take the potty everywhere we go. She does use it.
