Can you sneak it up on her by getting the paddling pool out or giving her a bath or shower then just let her run around after with no nappy on? rather than removing the nappy out of the blue and having a standoff?
There is a room upstairs at the Magnolia. I find the staff there really ARE family friendly and helpful. I wouldn't spend my money at the Herne having seen the contempt they seem to have for some of their customers!
My SIL booked at the herne for her 60th birthday and they were awful, very rude and had her in tears. I wouldn't rely on them at all for an important family event, I'm afraid.
I think I would probably buy a different potty, some pants, and take the opportunity to take her in the loo with you and let he know you poo in the toilet... and that she she is bigger 9and ready) she will too. Then use the book.. I have heard of lots iof children who can't poo out of a nappy for ages. But this is early days and if you can just get her to try again with the wees... My 2 yo is going pantless at home (few accidents) and wearing pants and skirts when we go out (mostly she just wees in the pants!)
It does sound like he is in transition. I think trying to keep him awake in the morning by taking him out, very early lunch at 11 and then try a cot-nap, at least until it's established, is probably the way to go.
I am torn between the sandpit (benefit: close enough to walk) and the one o'c club (benefit, I can be lazy as twins less prone to running off or climbing to the top of the helicopter) Child no 1 is out for the day with his godmother. What do people any think? Who's free and what do you fancy?
Prem babies it's based on actual age not adjusted age.. so it will still be 6m although she will prob need a bit more head support etc and purees compared with some 6m olds who can go straight o trying big chunks, these days...
