I like all the Dulwich entries!

It is possible to scan the hard copy, I think... if you can get to borrow any they hold at Kings.

I agree with Claire. We always pause and stand in front of the buggy if a dog is getting a bit close... It's not paranoia but just common sense... like as a woman walking alone you tend to avoid men walking the same direction as you and would get a bit nervous if one walked up behind you.. and don't flash your mobile about.. that sort of thing.

A painting or limited print? -
I would like to my two to try that but most of these classes are either nap time or too close to school pick up for no 1. Molly, yours sounds like the best time, when mine get to three anyway! Are there any boys there?

Do you want a long day childcare sort of place or a half day playgroup without mum sort of place?

Ratcliffe, the St Anthony's criteria are here: http://www.stanthonys.southwark.sch.uk/page8.html Main one: " 2. Baptised Catholic children or children enrolled in the catechumenate. Evidence of Baptism/catechumenate will be required. The following order of priorities will be applied when applications within any of the above categories exceed the places available and it is necessary to decide between applications: 1. For Categories 2 and 3 above - The strength of evidence of commitment to practice of The Catholic Faith as demonstrated by the regularity of the family's Mass attendance on Sundays and evidenced on the Supplementary Form by parents/carers. This evidence must be endorsed by a priest at the church(es) where the family normally worship and from whom the school will seek a reference. ?Applications will be ranked in the order shown on the Supplementary Form Firstly those who attend Mass weekly, secondly those who attend Mass most weeks etc. (Siblings and Distance are then factors too) ?Catechumen? means a member of the catechumenate of a Catholic church. This will normally be evidenced by a certificate of reception into the order of catechumens. By ?regular practising Catholic family?, we mean at least one parent/carer and the children attend mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation as a central part of their lives. Missing mass more than once a month would not be deemed as regular practice. Information about applications in previous years The school is always heavily oversubscribed. We have received 108 (2007), 128 (2008) and 148 (2009) applications for 45 places. In these two years, only applicants in category 1 were offered a place. As the school is usually oversubscribed by Catholic candidates, it is unlikely that a non-Catholic applicant will obtain a place. The governing body has been unable to offer a place to a non-Catholic applicant at any time in the last 10 years." So basically, you need to be practising catholic and attend mass weekly and live as close as possible

I tend to mix with mange tout or peas or just plain with a dash of sesame oil, though personally i like hoi sin frittata is a good meal you know you can stir pureed peas into pesto, it's invisible and hard to detect (could do the same with soya beans) -

Other idea is buy two or three woks and cook simultaneously tofu and chicken stir fries... also egg fried rice or a noodle dish is a child;'s crowd pleaser Just stand there and fling different ingredients in... doesn;t longer than cooking one big dish Pizza with different toppings or baked pots also good but not so low fat -

I sit down and eat if I fancy the food... so is preferable all round to cook a "family meal" from the point of view of kless cooing, more social, I eat earlier etc. But if they have pasta or fishfingers or something, I don't usually want to eat that. I do find cooking a few dishes means everyone is happy (Mr F isn't keen on veg while I love salad!) and we can have spicey food or I like things like beetroot.. Another good meal is stuffed tortilla wraps - lay out grated cheese, salad, olives, guacamole, veg or meat chilli, shredded chicken, sour cream, or something like huevos rancheros (scrambled eggs cooked with tomato, peppers, and after taking out part for kids you can add chulli sauce or refried beans with chilli) -

Yes, yo9u can find out what criteria were used for each school and how you compared For eg last year on initial allocs Heber took pupils for whom it wa their closest school, living lkess than 611m by sshortest walking route (and noone for whom it wasn't their cloest school) You could have found out the distance from your house to each of your choices, I am sure This year distances will be shorter as measure has changed to as the crow flies -

I'm a long term veggy child no 1 (7) is veggy + fish Mr F and twins are carnivores For low fat options I suppose a meal where you have extra protein would suit... and lowish GI? We quite enjoy meze sort of meals, with salads. stiffed or roasted or grilled veg, halloumi, lamb, salmon, pitta or wraps and hummous.. perhaps from something like that you could get everyone fed to their satisfaction? -
You're on and a few people have offered tries of other types too
