  1. I'd forgotten it was the Cup Final tomorrow, which would have been unthinkable in my younger years when it was one of the very few live games. It used to be shown by both BBC and ITV, and I still wonder who'd choose to watch it on ITV.

  3. Lekker. Edited for nice not leaky.
  4. That makes as much sense to me as jenny's post. Possibly a little bit more actually.
  5. I like Chorley cakes (with a bit of butter on)
  6. Mitchell Katsidis is going to be absolutely brutal, quite fancy Katsidis by KO late in fight. Khan to beat Malignaggi on points. Malignaggi seems quite wound up for him, agree with what you say about his punching power (lack of) costing him, and I think Khan can keep out of his way. He's been saying Khan's not as quick as he thinks he is though so you never know.... just needs to find that power.
  7. It's on their shop front sign but I forget, sorry. What they also have is a job ad in the window for Waitresses, Female Only. Apart from the absence of male waitresses in the first place I'm not convinced they're allowed to advertise like that!

  9. I've been done for a bus lane once - I did it, fair cop, and there was a very clear photo to prove it. I didn't bother appealing.
  10. A lot of those dropped curbs are within 10 meters of the junction anyway, and parking there contravenes the highway code whether it's dropped or not.
  11. Why illegal? He probably reads their emails as well, and they probably all signed something saying they know. And on face value maybe it's a bit weird. Or maybe they work in a diamond sorting office with a theft problem. Dunno.
  12. John Terry's hurt his foot, bless. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/may/12/john-terry-world-cup-foot-injury Maybe Wayne Bridge will go to the ball?
  13. From the article in question http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/election_2010/8622933.stm a quote from Nick Fraser, author of the book The Importance of Being Eton - "Boys elect each other to positions of influence. So from a very early age, you become adept at being charming, buying votes, being smarmy." Smarmy.. Nice word. Thinking of anyone in particular?
  14. Indeed, although I'd be astonished if this coalition hangs together that long.
  15. Kind of on topic (er... ish) it causes me mild irritation that you don't get fields being burned off any more in the autumn, that used to be great. Why did it stop?
  16. I don't think that's why it's there. From memory if an authority is keeping the money raised then it has to make sure it's made people aware the cameras are there with a prominent sign, hence the sign on the lamppost as well as the one on the cars.
  17. Adam Boulton is Kevin Keegan..

I think there is an incentive for them to reduce the number of invalid tickets in terms of the time and cost of processing them....
  19. I'd imagine if it comes to it you could say they're all infringing your copyright, doesn't matter who did it first.
  20. Nah, he lost home and away to Man City!
  21. Yeah but they're Celtic and Rangers, this is Fulham... compare the clubs. For the LMA one yes, hope that goes to Hodgson but if it can be any division Ian Holloway must be in with a shout.
  22. Should have been Hodgson. Under Redknapp the second biggest spenders in the league have come fourth, big achievement yes but not like getting Fulham to a European final.
  23. Sorry if I misunderstood... If you were parked across these dropped kerbs or similar, then my understanding is you are due a ticket yes. View Larger Map
  24. You're not allowed to block the dropped kerb although it's relevant if it's a disabled ramp as opposed to a driveway. (I think). As the OP couldn't be bothered checking once they finally noticed a ticket attached to the car after driving half way down the road, we may never know.
