I think the first answer was the right one..

bil Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Or there is the top end of lordship lane which is > also very quiet, nice and green Where I am, few minutes walk to Dulwich Park, Sydenham Hill woods etc. It is quite different though to Lordship Lane further north. I just spent six months living a minute from Liquorish and life style changed, a lot more "just popping out" for stuff. Back home to Melford Road and I know all that's there for when I want it. So it kinda depends if you want to be either in the middle of or just be accessible to which bit of ED you like. Obviously really.

Thanks for that David. I read one suggestion re dirty air was to get rid of diffusers and have a flat bottomed car rule, job done (possibly). I know it's easy in retrospect but you'd have though someone would have realised that the no refuelling would lead to drivers needing to preserve tyres, meaning they won't follow close and have a real go at an overtake, combined with the key weight/fuel variable being removed as said above = even less overtaking. What was the reason for refuelling being banned anyway? I can't see it as a cost saving measure like some of the other changes as can't see how it would save money.

I'm not worried about them falling off, I'm thinking of having plants which hang down from the box down the front of the building. Sorry I wasn't too clear. Full sun, all day on that front, and I'll water them every day if that helps? Last year at the back of the balcony we grew tomatoes in bags very successfully if that's any indication. thanks David.

Disagree, I'd like to see all seeding, avoidance of country clashes etc removed. The magic of the Cup and all that!

Don't get me wrong, I get sick to the back teeth of people eulogising him and he's part of that whole United myth/legend scenario that get on my t?ts, but he was a great player.

Mrs ruffers has, on occasion, had to suffer me going through the entire range of sports available on a full Sky package but has repeatedly heard me say that racing, almost uniquely amongst sports, hold no interest for me, and I comment that without the betting it just wouldn't exist which in some ways damns it as a genuinely uninteresting sport. Now I'm not sure why I have such apathy, if there was nothing else on I'd watch 3 Day eventing or at a real (ie telly broke) push showjumping as they have a however tiny interest to me as sport. So back to the question - without the betting would anyone else watch it? And the reason I came here. Khan to knock out Malignaggi. I've been in a bookies about three times in my life but think this is worth a go - how do I maximise my winnings on this?

Parky speaks the truth - "The only tragedy George Best had to confront," Parkinson concluded, "is that he will never know how good he could have been." And I'm a City fan.

Just to bounce this seems to me the rule changes, principally no refuelling, have removed the main variable from things. In theory now if I qualify a second quicker than you on a 40 lap race and out pit crews are on a par I will finish 40 seconds ahead of you, so the race is stretching the differences. Apparently Bernie is trying to get 2 compulsory pit stop so they can take a bit more risk with their tyres and, even better, short cuts to overtake. Still waiting for mushrooms or blue shells. (By the way I love F1 and watch all of every race, but this season threatens to be a massive disappointment imho)

I'll go with 2 as very special, 3 almost as good, 1 OK but, and I am trying to be objective here, not as good as Adam Johnson's last Sunday who had a much smaller target to aim at...

In fact lots of people > try to break his legs, but he rides tackles and > moves on. Like it (soundtrack aside). What's amazing is this was the age when you were allowed to kick people about a bit. Given the advantage attackers have now and the way defenders are being so very limited in what they can do it would be amazing, although pointless admittedly, to wonder what he could do now.

Question Time's audience is self selected though, people who choose to be in an audience, on the telly, with a chance to express their views however moderate/extreme/emotional/bonkers and have their 15 seconds of fame to the great and the good. On the specific question there's why the view of the producer and participants should tally with a viewer who has their own different views and never the twain shall meet... although I'm not sure we should be bringing Donald Sinden in at this point, never mind Windsor Davies. I may have to resurrect my "shouting at the telly thread" as I did a lot of that tonight.

Blimey. I hope David logs on soon.

"the so-called intelligent audience of Question Time" - by who? (possibly whom, not sure)

We have a new textbook example of "Damned by faint praise." I'll be using that.

Dear David I want to put plants in window boxes on my balcony which may tumble over the edge, with any flowers being basically white. Any recommendations please? Thanks! ruffers

What I really like about Rooney is that there is no mistaking the fact he's English and couldn't be anything else. I can't even imagine him playing for a foreign club.

Honor Oak is on the same line as Forest Hill into London Bridge. -
Apparently, according to today's Sun anyway, there was a programme in France recently on the same lines. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/2896027/Torture-game-show-slammed.html#comment-rig
