  2. Supply and demand innit - if that's what the people want, that they should get.
  3. No, the other lot were hooligans, not me.

There is a great tension about sitting in the wrong section which does need to be experienced. Turning the joy of an away goal into a rant at the keeper is a skill and no mistake. It's not that hard to get a ticket to the swamp by the way, just have a look at the seatexchange thing for Fulham for instance via manure.com.
  5. Why did dog licences stop?
  6. Referee's quoted as saying he didn't think he meant it but he had to send him off.

There is another solution, maybe you could slow down? Rather than accelerating between bumps just keep a steady slow speed.
  8. Watching the replays he looked like he was right over on his ankle even before the contact.
  9. I quite liked it too. You have a vote.
  10. Imagine a dead cat falling off a building. It will bounce, doesn't mean it will continue to go up. It has found it's level.

    Moral maze

No dilemma here for me. They bid what they were happy to pay for the product, job done. If I bought the same thing from Tesco and they found it it was cheaper in Boots I wouldn't be expecting them to be chasing me down to refund me.
  12. The programme I referred to is people suing councils for tripping up, getting hit by a branch falling from a tree etc, and claiming they're doing it for 'justice'. Rubbish. There's another thread I'm sure to be had about how the council may or may not be responsible but... I enjoyed shouting at the telly.
  13. No real interest but the name The Villager doesn't work for me at all.
  14. Any kind, I'm not fussy.
  15. There's a fascination about watching programmes you know are going to make you shout at the telly. Today's entry Scams Claims And Compensation Claims, on Channel Four now.

  17. Thanks. Can you refer me to the documentation on this (if not I'm sure I can find it) as I'd also be interested to see if there's anything about the profile of the bump. The ones on Underhill, thinking as you approach Melford going downhill, have very aggressive profiles. While we're at it James do you know who's responsible for the painting on the road of the mini roundabouts on Wood Vale and the bumps as well, while appreciating I think that's outside your ward? Main reason is it's the border between Southwark and Lewisham and they need refreshing as increasingly get ignored. Thanks in advance.
  18. Sorry, I wasn't clear. You seemed to link paying for insurance with road maintenance. Interesting idea though potentially that Admiral, Direct Line etc should contribute to road safety as it would be in their interests as keeps claims down..

I think Bridge should have left it till after the weekend when he has to play against Terry to see how it went. What I can't believe is all the talking heads on Sky Sports News saying he should be above all this, be professional and go to the World Cup. He's dreamed of going to a World Cup his whole life, this isn't taking the easy option it's making a huge sacrifice as he is clearly very upset as a person. And I know his statement is PR'd but I respect his statement that his presence may be divisive, probably true. Hope Terry get's dropped, or injured and Bridge can go. Let's face it, our FIFA rank of ninth is about right so we're not likely to win it anyway.

Please don't let the new bumps on Dunstans > Road be as bad. Agreed. There are guidelines on how high they should be. I might check them out.
  21. We just had an extended spell of cold weather causing lots of damage due to freezing and yes there's a lot of potholes around. I see gangs every day filling them in as I drive around; be fair, they can't do them all instantly. Not sure where insurance comes into this btw?
  22. And is another's thread posted earlier re problems getting home via Peckham..
  23. Seems if anything better than agents effectively running an auction, more honest if anything as long as it's done right. As they say, if you don't want to get involved then don't. As you say houses are worth what people will pay - bid what you think it's worth then job done.
  24. Needs sound.
  25. Nothing to get, it just makes me smile as it looks brilliant.
