    Post

Anyone had theirs today yet? I'm in Goodrich and urgently awaiting some tickets.
  3. Supposed to be going up to Anfield for the game tonight, but my tickets haven't arrived. Anyone know what time the postie delivers in the Goodrich vicinity? :-(
  4. ???? Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Chelsea will walk it IMO I thought that, but after Sunday's performance I'm not so sure.
  5. Well blikin' eck. My Geograhpy ain't three bad but I'd always thought that Corrie was a Yorkshire thing. My Mum used to watch it and I'd made the assumption as a child. Ooops. My point still stands re stereotypes.
  6. Oh so you're being stereotypical. Cloth caps, hotpots and Rovers are a Yorkshire thing. You probably need to be rude about people from Lancashire or Merseyside in CWALD's case. Maintaing the stereotypical theme, you must be a Pearly Queen Louisa? Or do you have a fella called Riiiiccccccckyy?
  7. WTF has Northern got to do with it?
  8. Flippin' aida! What happened to the Gooners?
  9. Fergie time Keef, fergie time! :)) whoops sorry Sandperson. We were shite, but points win prizes.
  10. I've seen rumours started on football forums, to see if they make the press. They often do.
  11. I sometimes dream/imagine/think that is a spider or a snake in my bed. Have woken up on numerous ocassions stood on my pillow with my back against the wall. Daft.
  12. Blackburn 2 Hull City 0 Fulham 1 Arsenal 2 Liverpool Middlesbrough - no comment (will be there though) Newcastle 1 Bolton 1 Stoke City 0 Aston Villa 2 Tottenham 2 Sunderland 1 West Brom 2 Everton 1 Man City 1 West Ham 1 Wigan Athletic 0 Chelsea 2 Portsmouth 1 Man Utd 2
  13. Oh dear ratty. Didn't you miss the charity shield to save money for that day too? Why on earth did you get married during the football season? I think you need to stop being so soft. Perhaps you could treat the Mrs to a trip to the game and watch it live? ;-)
  14. Tripping over and smashing my teeth out on the pavement. I often think about this and it's horrible. Also, when I lived with my Dad his staircase went round a corner and there was mini landing with a window. I always imgained falling down the stairs and going head first through the window, slitting my throat on the way through. :(
  15. I would like to apologise profusely for my excitment in the next line, but...... :)-D:)-D:)-D:)-D:)-D:)-D:)-D:)-D:)-D:)-D:)-D:)-D:)-D:)-D:)-D:)-D:)-D:)-D:)-D:)-D:)-D:)-D:)-D:)-D (tu)(tu)(tu)(tu)(tu)(tu)(tu)(tu)(tu)(tu)(tu)(tu)(tu)(tu)(tu)(tu)(tu)(tu) I got a Kop ticket for the Man United game this morning. :)):)):)):)):)):)):)):)):)):)):)):)):)) Lets hope I'm as lucky for lads as I have previously been at Anfield. Disclaimer - As I have mentioned Man Utd in this post, it is in no way a pop at Sandperson. ;-)
  16. Keviiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin :)) (I wasn't allowed to watch Roland Rat) :(

  18. T'wasn't all that bad, as I didn't have to pay for anything. AND before anyone asks I didn't miss minute of the game and stayed in the stands at half time. (I did have prawns before the match though :-$) LadyGooner - no charity shield? Or do you not think you'll make it? ;-) I've been to two friendlies and one proper competition (v Russia) at the new Wembley now. The Euro qualifier was a lot better as it meant something, but I certainly won't be nominating myself for another friendly.
  19. Dire, dire England game. Please remind me not to bother going to Wembley again.
  20. Interesting reading peoples' comments about "Rafa the rotator". I have no doubt that Rafa will bring us a Premiership titled if given the full support of the board. There's a fella who writes for LFC tv and I always find his articles quite enlightening. Keef - you might be interested in this. [quote name=On Sky's Sunday Supplement' date=' there were further mentions of Torres being left out of two games last season; using the games as examples, when in fact they were the only examples. Without irony, the journalists also admitted ?well, he can't play every game...', without enlightening us to which kind of games they can't play. Their point seemed to be that Portsmouth away and Birmingham at home, at a stage when the Reds were playing well, was not the time. But I might ask, when is the time? When the Reds are struggling? Er, no. Or against the best opposition? Er, no. Or in the run-in to the season? Er, no. Or when Torres, who'd just played two internationals prior to the Portsmouth game, hasn't just had a gruelling schedule? Er, no. Looked at like that, and with his form later in the season aided by not being overplayed initially, it was the best time to rest him; unfortunately, the results didn't work out. But that's not when the title was lost. And I still maintain a point at Portsmouth was a good result; it's the sum total United have achieved there in their last two visits. ] Food for thought I guess.

It is definitely "the finger". I think that people think the cheesey grin makes it less offensive.
  22. Why are you getting personal about the people (my family) of a city from where the club I support are from? I think that JT and Rio make excellent captains, which is probably why they captain their respective clubs. Two clubs which finished first and second in the league and both ended up in a CL final last season. Of course they are deserving. I was simply stating that their off pitch antics leave a lot to be desired. That is not an attack on Chelsea or Man united.
  23. "I just object to certain Scousers who take every post as an opportunity to have a dig at United" Don't really see how my original post in this discussion was a dig at United. I was merely stating that I don't think Ferdinand or Terry deserve to be England captain through their off pitch antics. How is exactly is that a dig at Manchester United? I think that generally you're the one who has lowered the banter by calling people "bin dippers" etc. If you don't like a bit of harmless ribbing from one of your rivals, then I suggest you talk about football on a United forum.
  24. Whats that got to do with whether or not someone deserves to captain their international team? You probably ought to spend less time reading scummy rags and rely more on fact if you think that the Gerrard - Chelsea debacle was merely down to cash.
  25. I think you've hit the nail on the head there Mr P. It always amazes me when you hear peoples' views on fox hunting (for example), who have no idea about rural life and the impact that one solitary fox can have on a farm. MadWorld - I can empathise with you entirely and it most have been absolutely horrendous. I'm not taking away from that and think that some people could have been a little more sensitive in their posts. That said, I can understand some of the opinions I just don't necessarily agree with the way in which they were expressed.
