  1. Keef Keef - Have you seen are new signing yet? Ngog - reckon (hope) *crosses fingers* that Rafa might have found a gem there.
  2. Cheers Annaj - I was being a bit daft as I'm bored at home. Had ACL reconstruction last week and am currently housebound and obviously on pain killers. Having experienced the effects of Tramadol in the past week I definitely will be staying off the booze until I'm done. I have never slept so much in my life. It has certainly made me drowsy, to the point of falling asleep on people mid conversation. :-S The morphine straight after the op was pretty good too. :)
  3. Boo (td)
  4. They're called Tramadol? :-S
  5. They also say that you shouldn't take the phone to bits either. A bit late now (sorry)
  6. Dedication is what you need :-S Have been up since 6.30am, however it has all been worth it. I am the proud owner of two tickets to our first home game of the season. :)-D>:D< This is doubly good as our next home game after that is Man Utd. The loyalty system at LFC means that you have to have certain games on your fancard to get tickets. The fact that I have the only other home game this season, should mean that I stand a good chance for Man Yoo too. (tu) Disappointed not to get in the Kop though. ;-)
  7. What about prescribed pain killers?
  8. (tu) Torres has opened his 2008/2009 goal scoring account. Nice to see him linking up with Keane too. Rangers 0 - Liverpool 4. Goals from Torres, Ngog, Benayoun and Alonso.
  9. Looks like I missed a good night. Hope you all had fun.
  10. Champions League - 3rd round Qualifying draw Was really hoping we'd draw Gothenburg or Vienna as I have friends that live in both. Looks like we've a trip to Belgium though. If my knee is up to it and I can get tickets I am definitely going to go. :)):)-D For those who are interested, the draw so far is: Anorthosis/Rapid Vienna v Olympiakos Vitoria Guimaraes v IFK Gothenburg/Basel Shakhtar Donetsk v Domzale/Dinamo Zagreb Schalke 04 v Atletico Madrid Aalborg/Modrica v RANGERS/Kaunas Barcelona v Beitar Jerusalem/Wisla Krakow Levski Sofia v Anderlecht/BATE Standard Liege v LIVERPOOL Inter Baku/Partizan v Fenerbahce/MTK Budapest FC Twente v ARSENAL Spartak Moscow v Drogheda/Dinamo Kiev Juventus v Tampere/Artmedia SK Brann/Ventspils v Marseille Fiorentina v Slavia Prague Galatasaray v Steaua Bucharest Panathinaikos/Dinamo Tbilisi v Sheriff Tiraspol/Sparta Prague Updated in full now. :)) Forgot that FC Twente is now managed by The Wally with the brolly.
  11. Ha ha - can't believe that this got lounged. :-S
  12. Why couldn't they have left it yellow? It was quite a useful landmark for telling visting friends where they need to get off the bus.

I have to say, I agree with Blueone on this one. Why does a whole familly need to go to the supermarket together? Hardly a fun day out is it. I'm also sick of seeing people wheeling screaming kids around whilst chatting on mobile phones and ignorning thier offspring. I'm not a maternal person, but the child is obviously crying because it needs/wants something?
  14. Citizen you're daft ;-) I wouldn't fret too much Jah, once one big signing takes place it then seems to set the ball rolling. Look at this way, we bought Keane, which gave your lot the cash for Bentley and so and so forth. Arse shaving for you next? ;-) Reckon we'll see 3 or 4 big signings a week now and besides - that window is open for another month. Hopefully Liverpool will have at least one more. Would love it if Rafa went for Silva, also heard that we're still on for Barry but who knows. If we sell Voronin and possibly Benayoun (would be very sad to see him go) that would give us a further ?9 mill to splash. Who also knows where Alonso will end up?! :-S
  15. Digger Barnes. Jeez thought it was obvious.
  16. If it was any other night Azul I'd join you.
  17. I met JB once, all be it very briefly but he seemed like a nice enough fella.
  18. I had a Leffe in the EDT on Saturday.
  19. It's okay Keef. The Anfield Rap was better anyway. ;-)
  20. I went to visit my Grandma last month and took her out for the day so we could spend some time together. We driving to Sandringham and she threw in to the conversation that Stephen Fry lived in the village we were driving through. I passed some comment about him being from Norfolk and then the following story emerged. Turns out that my Grandma and Step Grandfather had lived in the same village as a young Master Fry. One of the locals had 6 daughters and was becoming increasingly frustrated at the prospect of marrying them all off. As Stephen was one of the local young men, it seemed quite obvious to everyone that he should be "courting" one of the daughters and they were continously trying to set him up. Obviously nothing ever came of it. If only they knew what we all do now eh....? Grandma had me in stitches though as you don't generally expect to be having that sort of conversation with an 85 year old woman. My response was "So you know Stephen Fry?" and she told me that she used to see and chat to him all the time. This is why is good to spend time with the Grandparents. :)

  22. Well it's now official. Not sure how I feel about this one.... On one hand he's a proven Premiership player and will hopefully partner well with Torres. On the other side of the coin ?20 mill is a lot to be spending on a 28 year old player. I suppose we'll know more by next May.

(I know I shouldn't but I am secretly smirking at this)
  24. Happy Birthday for yesterday Keef - I blame you for the slightly fuzzy head I have this morning.
  25. Except for my Mum's - I like Jimbob's best :)-D
