Players do not go from Liverpool to Manchester or the other way. You would never have signed Owen.:)) Every club does it, I just found it hilarious that they are getting so riled by it. The problem is they know he wants to leave. 40 goals in a season from a winger is a hell of a lot and without that, they may struggle. That said, ?70 odd million, should buy a couple of half decent players. ?70 million ffs!!! Absolutely ridiculous, if his comments were true and he said that about my club I'd want him to leave. He's clearly not a team player.

Does the size of a man's tackle matter?

Is the last part in layman's terms? -
Agree with SCSB79 here (is that your number plate btw?) - if someone's car ain't taxed then it shouldn't be on the road. I would also like to point out that the cost of doing so is extortionate, however thems the rules.

Fans or players Keef? Or both... >:D

I agree too, however what does make me laugh is how outraged United are by Real Madrid's behaviour. They do exactly the same thing every single season. Those in glass houses...?.. (I do miss this topic; keep finding it on page two and three. Can't believe it has been ousted by arse and appendage size)

Hmmm - yes. I see what you saying and I realise that it's not a dirty red top rag reporting the story, however I won't be smug about it until it happens. Don't forget that Torres was going to Chelsea only the week before last. The only difference here is that Ronaldo hasn't denied it.

Yes I did receive the E-mail - but still decided to go, thinking (hoping) that they arrange the stage etc in a manner that would allow the best possible spec. We'd orgainsed the weekend last year, hotels etc, visting friends so I didn't really want to cancel the trip last minute. The gig was fantastic and as many people will no know on here, I love Anfield and it was still special sitting in the Kop for the gig. I just thought they were a bit cheeky, given the circumstances.
-
Our seats were ?75 each and they were supposed to be the best. I don't think we could have been any further from the stage. When the gig was organised, there were only supposed to be 21,000 tickets, but when they realised how many they could sell it went up to 37,000. I'm not sure if they were originally going to use the Kop and I think they justified it by the fact that it's such a prestigious stand. They should have just reduced the cost for them all and given us a refund/reduction. It's a really cramped stand and I've sat there for the footy, but that's only for 90 mins (and well worth it). I'm 5ft6 and my knees were crushed against the seat in front of me, so I can't imagine how the fellas felt. 90 mins is fine - but almost 4-5 hours for a gig was beginning to take it's toll. Still, it was a great gig and there aren't many that can say they've seen one of the Beatles from the Kop.

Where were you stood/sat? We were in the Kop, which on any other time at Anfield I would have been made up. Just wanted to be on the pitch though. :(

Picking up women in East Dulwich.

I just meant that if I was looking for a fella, I would like to meet one that saw that as a good quality in a girl. :-) -

A man who has manicures and watches chick flicks or a fella that likes footy and beer. Hmmm let me think? Caveman every time please. Men that watch chick flicks should be shot. If you're after a girl who likes to have a laugh, you'll probably find her in a pub somewhere watching the game with some of the lads. -

You certainly like to be controversial, don't you Mr Yard. ;-) I suppose that the thing is - if a woman decides to elect for the power point presentation, she can still polish the brass whilst doing other things. If you were to select "domestic bliss" as you so eloquently put it, that would generally be the end of the career. I know which I'd rather... -
Talking of Liverspain - has anyone seen this advert? Adios la - Brilliant :)-D

Oh Keef - I liked that coat. Will keep my eyes peeled for you as I walk to and from the train station.

Next EDF Drinks - this Friday 6th June at The Vale

Have just realised that I probably won't be able to come on Friday as I'm going to Epsom ladies day. Alternatively, this could mean that I turn up plastered in a frock and dodgy hat. :-S Hmmm - why does the Vale have to be on the way home from the train station. -
Keef - it was bloody brilliant. One of the best gigs I've ever been to AND I got to do it at Anfield. :)) Not just Macca, but Dave Groll, the Zutons, the Kaiser chiefs and Peter Kay all viewed from the Kop. He did loads of Beatles stuff and there's no better place to see him do that than in Liverpool. All these lads were watching from the pitch and were kicking a beer can around and pretending to score in front of the Kop. Fantastic!

Can we add people to this list?

Ended up with a last minute ticket to the England game tonight. 55 chuffin' squid! Not the best of games, but was nice to view a potential Barry, Bentley & Gerrard (and who knows Crouchie) link up for next season. Hargreaves played well tonight, but I'm not sure what game Lamps and A Cole were playing. What game can I watch next week......
