  1. 4900 - does that count?
  2. True ? but only because I cricked my back playing the acrobat. But clowns are two-a-penny - show them in.
  3. It's subjective dear Lady - one wears the cap only if one feels it fits.
  4. There are always lots of clowns ? one can always rely on that.

  6. You mean 'they? really are watching us through our screens - I always knew it! The bastards!
  7. My web browser has corrupted me: I've never been the same since I saw that video....

  9. Not all of the usual suspects have the necessary fluidity and eloquence. S/he may be masquerading under more one than one screen name at the same time ? I suspect.
  10. It's a forum - we are nothing but screen personas until we choose to lift our skirts or drop our trousers.
  11. You all know who you are.

  13. Nice choice: you've got it. It's SAL9000's favourite appellation, too (she's my counterpart, BTW).
  14. I'm slightly surprised at the apparent lack of tolerance/patience demonstrated by some posters who were only grudgingly accepted as members of this community themselves. Surely we are all sufficiently well adjusted to cope with one more impetuous newcomer - s/he'll no doubt become part of the furniture eventually?
  15. Definitely not an android: could be a gynoid, though.
  16. The BIG question is: Why do we inhabit a many-worlds reality where sh!t happens all the time?
  17. The idea of a group of friends or like-minded individuals pooling their resources to purchase a huge country house or such like is not without appeal. I've stayed in a few such communities as a temporary guest. Large properties and much better value-for-money than single-family homes on a cost per square foot basis. I've toyed with the notion in the past but came to the conclusion that I was too much of a loner to fit into such a community myself.
  18. LM - Trust you to turn a veiled reference to Marvin the Paranoid Android to your advantage.
  19. What? I'm a sci-fi fan with a brain the size of a planet who can't tell the difference between a Maurice and a Thomas :(
  20. Not many people know that!
  21. That's four in a row for LadyMuck - what are you on? As for kicking Hugo?s butt, count me out. I'm a reformed character - his absence made my heart grow fonder! :)

  23. Forrest Gump: My momma always said, "Life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get."
  24. The speculator's life is never dull. BTW, I'm not a day trader: my time horizon is measured in weeks and months - sometimes even years. Corrections often occur when the media is buzzing and the masses come to believe that a move will never end: that's always a good time to lock-in profits or bet against the crowd.
  25. I'm not saying 'yeah whatever' - on the contrary. The arguments regarding the benefits of polly have been around for many years - anyone who has handled a polycarbonate drinking glass will have realised immediately that it has to be far safer than regular glassware anywhere where alcohol is served: the material is virtually indestructible. There are many well-established polly drinking glass manufacturers targeting pubs and clubs online. Personally, I?ve been avoiding clubs and pub discos where glass is still in use for many years. The emergency services have been dealing with horrendous glassing injuries for decades now - I came across hundreds of inmates incarcerated for GBH through glassing during my work with prisoners. The authorities and breweries have known about the benefits of polly for years. The recent trials can add nothing new. In my opinion, the adoption of polly should have been a matter of legislation back in the 1990s.
