  1. How can you be accurate about something that is completely subjective? You think the circus isn't cruel, Tom thinks it is.
  2. Tom - I've got no problem with horses in a circus, but you have every right to protest in a public place, display your banners and take your pictures. It is also absolutely ridiculous to be threatened with arrest if "a member of the public complained." It's so weird how some people can bang on about our freedoms and defend things like the EDL protests in Asian communities yet think you have over stepped the line here - may be that's middle class liberals for you!
  3. Can we have a "hall of fame" section? You could populate it with classic threads that have run their course and then lock them to allow everyone to enjoy them whenever they want. Start it off with the Begging Bowl thread (why did that have to go? that was gold!) along with the discussion about puppies being sold and personal shopping. It could also be useful to reference to classic subjects e.g. CPZ, M&S/Waitrose etc.

Fair comment.
  5. Yeah, why didn't they ask BFS? http://images.football365.com/10/09/Others/446102.jpg
  6. He also thinks the NHS is a 60 year mistake and that it is no longer relevant. *Gulp*
  7. Bye bye Lansley. I can't believe he lasted as long as he did.

The rate is still nothing like it was in the mid 70s or early 80s though.

Seems pretty obvious there's no way he'd have walked away. Admin asked him to stop "winding people up" and gave him a "final warning" last week. Now he's deactivated. Shame. I hope he comes back.

Only working people that are employed during the day are entitled to an opinion on this. No representation without taxation. FFS!!
  11. Inspired by El Pipe/Jeremy's mentions of the album on the shoppers thread. Bob Mould > God
  12. Blimey Beer in The Evening, first aid to India, then racism and now Europe. Heavy. Can't you just tell me where serves the best ale on the Lane?

  15. Indeed. Martinez (or Lambert) - who don't have any blots on their records - would have been far, far better choices. Rogers track record is very mediocore - saved Watford from relegation with Boothroyd's team; took Reading from 4th to 21st whilst alienating senior players and spending more money than any other manager on players he then didn't even play; and he then got Swansea promoted with Martinez and Sousa's team.
  16. I just think he's massively overated. He has a massive ego, is completely inflexible and what he has achieved has been more by luck than judgement. A club like Liverpool should be making better appointments than him.
  17. "I thought the players showed they have coped very well with the ideas we have given them" - Rodgers. God help Liverpool if the players don't grasp the defensive/sideways ideas he's bound to ridgidly stick to!
  18. As long as it finishes in the daytime i.e. by 9.59pm, it should be acceptable ;-)
  19. Erm, nope...as a parent who has chosen to have a child, and therefore accepts that the child will sometimes make a noise when they play, it's not a problem at all. 20. Just be thankful its not the extreme noise from from a child ;-)
  21. If you're going to get your news from The Express, at least bother to read the whole article. The reason is: "development aid is earmarked for specific purposes like tackling child malnutrition, providing malaria bednets and secondary education for Dalit girls." - http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/340287/We-pay-for-India-s-rocket-to-Mars
  22. Liverpool to win away at West Brom AND score twice? There's surprising and just plain ludicrous!
  23. Make up your mind ED - NAGAIUTB - where's 5am come from?? I thought it was 7.30am when you're subjected to anti social behaviour in the extreme? LOL at comparing a band practicing to a single child as well!!
  24. You're not really trying to compare building work noise with the noise made by one child are you? Southwark Council deem "babies crying" and "children playing" (as well as footsteps, washing machines etc that you mention) as "everyday" noises and that noise from the ordinary use of residential premises cannot be considered a nuisance (let alone "anti-social in the extreme"!!)
