  1. Hi Tony *waves* How is Kent these days?
  2. It's like Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse with those two. Perhaps they were young and funny once but these days are living off past glories and are embarrassing themselves like some bedwetting relative you'd rather you didn't have over at Xmas. You try and ignore them but the stench becomes too much.

  4. Mix it with petrol and make your own napalm.
  5. Could someone explain the etymology of the word "fierce" when applied to people please. I keep hearing it used in a positive sense and have no idea how, what, when or why. I feel old.
  6. Aye, I think I'd be up for this. Any news on a 2011 game?
  7. Well it would have benefited Fergie Jnr had it kept him his job I suppose. Look, I know it's petulant and wrong. But, rather shamefully, I'd probably do the same. We can't all be as saintly as you McG!
  8. Because I'm as grumpy and irritable and mean-spirited as Fergie is!
  9. Surf Bobby and Help-Me-Boab, surely?
  10. 'Fraid I'm with ???? on this one. The only reason Preston got some Man U reserves/YTS players was due to Fergie Snr. I'd have done the same. And I'm with ???? again on Spurs being my team of 2010. They make me laugh every time I watch them. Often comic defending aligned with some of the most scintillating attacking play in the league. Van De Fart seems like the bargain of the season and in Bale they have the best left sided player in the league. Bagpuss has done well. As a Leeds fan, 2010 has been pretty good. We started the year beating Man Utd and got a draw against Spurs in the FA cup before losing the replay. I'm hoping for a repeat against the Gunners next week. Sean and I are off to the Emirates to watch it so back your team carefully! Our league campaign faultered badly in the second half of the season but was enough to see us promoted to the Championship. This season in 2010 all is well. Despite some shocking results and poor performances we are level on points with automatic promotion spots and the dream of a return to the Premiership in 2011 is starting to look possible. Marching On Together!
  11. "Also, I will shoot you in the fucking face". Epic win.
  12. You lot are all heart....just waste the guy. In the words of Brian Connelly, "it's a PUPPET!"
  13. I can understand the point Rosie is making when the two uses of comedienne so far are Miranda Hart and Job Brand. Sheesh. I'd be offended too.
  14. In other news....Vince Cable in BIG trouble. Resignation by Monday I reckon.
  15. Rosie - anyone who cites Lacan in a thread about Miranda Hart wins my vote! Obviously I think you're wrong, but you know, it's Xmas so I'll retire like a gentleman. Doh!
  16. Not wishing to diverge entirely from the subject in hand, but feminists of the EDF.....is this really what gets your goat? Is it such a crime to differentiate the sexes through grammar? Our continental friends seem to do it no end to no ill effect. Germany makes train stations male yet still has a female head of state.....how do they do it? Probably by worrying about something important I would imagine.
  17. Can we abolish "Best Actress" at the Oscars then?
  18. Toad in the hole.

My Guardian Angels (East Dulwich Branch) have our AGM to discuss where the new village stocks are going to go. In the meantime, try not undermine community spirit with your own brand of cynical myopia.

  21. Did you actually breathe when typing that? Or just regurgitate something from here?
  22. Touching a french stick in the ED Deli.....is that an Iraq War allegory?
  23. Is it just rose tinted glasses though? I suspect supporters of most national teams would say their teams were involved in some of the most exciting games of major tournaments since those are the ones they remember. Unless you support Italy of course. In which case you'll have never seen an exciting match in your life.
  24. d_c = (td) due to sickness
  25. Such as? And how will you know if people are happier at the end? You might be but I might be unhappier. Then what?
