MamoraMan - with all due respect, and I think I've made my support and interest in the armed forces clear in the past, the last time British armed forces got involved in Egyptian affairs was a cluster-fuck. Just ask Anthony Eden. As you say, this issue does warrant sensible debate and I'd also like to come back to it when I've had more time to think about the issue involved.

In Italy, Maldini exemplified the one-club-man. According to the data he spent 25(!) seasons with Milan - a world record. Back home: Trevor Brooking @ West Ham

I wasn't aware it was ever unnacceptable. Are there some rules I missed somewhere? This is where grown-ups play, LadyM. If you insist on using this tediously self-conscious "girlish" silliness and imagine you won't occasionally have your bubble of self-importance pricked then perhaps this isn't the environment for you? The fact that you now have to air your laundry in public speaks volumes. If you were that upset you could have PM'd me and I might have relented. But now....? I used sarcasm because you were complaining about something trivial that was clearly signposted. You didn't "get" my light hearted response which mocked your inability to read the front page of the forum you "care about" and instead you began to resemble a dog with an indigestible bone. And lo....it came to pass that you have now regurgitated the entire saga two days later. Attention seeker? Moi?!

Who did what, where etc.... Not only because it's distasteful but because it may well prejudice any investigation. 3) I asked for respect in use and tone of language....not something particularly revolutionary. But it goes a long way. This isn't some assault on freedom of speech so don't make it out to be one. You may not think it has been disrespectful but the Forum Team have had complaints. I'm trying to keep everybody happy. I'd appreciate your cooperation. -
I know..... Sexton's goal kicking is iffy. Italy don't get many pens Ditto Scotland Wales alternate kickers between Jones and Hook So that leaves either Flood or the French. Do you get points if your full-back turns out to be the set piece kicker?
-
Excellent. My team will be compiled shortly. Trinh-Duc at FH - will he be kicking the points though? Hmmm....damn it.

One only has to attempt to watch television in the USA to see where a lack of well-funded public broadcasters leads. For every HBO masterpiece there is Fox News and a thousand shopping channels and all of it decimated by a frequency of adverts that makes your eyes bleed. The BBC is one of our best assets as a nation and should be protected.

Regents Park would be a better bet. Much more space.

Please can I politely ask that forum members respect those affected by this tragic death and not idly theorise about events that took place. If you have any information it should be given to the police and not discussed on here. I'd rather not have to lock down a thread but complaints have been made regarding insensitvity, racism and tastelessness. Please keep this in mind when posting. Thank you. Moderating Team. -
Pull yourself together, Curtain. Or it's the rod for you.
-
You're welcome, LB. Thanks for being understanding.

I think RosieH nails it. For a small space, it's a good looking system and sounds good. It's unobtrusive and will give you some decent bang for your buck. It's a little bit style over substance and you pay a small premium for that. If it's going to be used in a big room and you have aural demands you might want something with more oomph.
-
This would imply it was subconscious. I just can't help myself.
-
Leaglebeagle....sounds fair enough to me. Go ahead. LadyM....I use sarcasm as a defence mechanism when I feel intellectually threatened.
-
The power has gone to my head.
-
Run along, Curtain. You've let me down, the school down but most of all you've let yourself down.

Indeed I can direct you LadyM. If you'd be so obliging as to direct your interweb browser to the front page of the forum you will see the following: Wanted in East Dulwich... If you want items locally ask for them here. And lost and found items go here too, including cats. We tried to put it in a more obvious place but couldn't think of one. The forum and the admin team appreciate your concern for all the lost items that may not have found their homes without you.
-
If you read the regulations of the Wanted section it does say that all "Lost/Found" items should be posted in there. I believe the thinking behind it was that lost pets/gloves/whatever would be "wanted" by their owners and more things would be lost rather than found - so that's where they should really go. If in the past some have survived in the GE section it's only because of laziness or oversight on the part of the Admin/Moderator team. Hope that clears this important matter up!
-
Thank you for your suggestions. Admin is a little busy at the moment but will keep these matters under consideration.

Due to talk of bobs and tea this is now moved to the Lounge. Play nicely, children. Btw the forum is not democratic. It is merely run by a benevolent dictator and a cabal of underlings.

Oh, I wasn't really having a go at you two. I love a single malt as much as the next man, and like MM, am a big fan of the southern Islay malts. I even own land at the Laphroig distillery (for what it's worth)! But I just like to point people to some up market blends that can combine flavours and characteristics brilliantly to sometimes create a final product that is more than the sum of its parts.
-
Anyone know which of their many options France are playing at fly half? Skrella? Trinh-Duc? Traille?
-
I find the obsession with single malts and the associated snobbery to be rather strange. Whilst some are, with out question, delicious, rare and very special the same can be said for some blends. A skilled blender producing a multi-dimensional whisky is truly a thing of wonder. At the lower end of the market, Johnnie Walker Black Label routinely wins awards and blind tastings whilst the company's Blue Label variant is a king of blends. I've been lucky enough to sample a dram of 35 year Duncan Taylor blended scotch and it's by some distance the best thing I've ever drunk.
