  3. As I went passed poached today on Grove Vale, I noticed they had trays of "white eggs" not sure if hen or duck? Or cost.
  4. someone clearly over ordered Easter eggs, mountains of the things in DKH Sainsbo today all reduced by 90% and still no takers. Why don't they donate them to Kings College hospital for staff and patients to cheer them up, it would be a grand gesture.
  5. You might well sigh, Which bit of STAY HOME, SAVE LIVES, PROTECT THE NHS don't you understand.
  6. Seems like some just can't help themselves, bending and mis-interpreting the Govt. guidance, whatever the consequences and sod the inconvenience everyone else is putting up with just so long as they can parade around shoving something cold and wet down their own throats. If their was no trade the shop would close as it wouldn't be financially viable to remain open with no trade. Hope you enjoyed sucking your gelato. Perhaps you can read and inwardly digest the meaning of; STAY HOME, SAVE LIVES, PROTECT THE NHS When you've had to watch a loved be on a respiratory ward and have to breath through a Non Invasive Ventilator (NIV)/Nippy (go google it) then you'll maybe just appreciate how damn serious this virus is, think pneumonia and multiply that by 1000 times, I promise you it wasn't pleasant to see first hand, them gasping for breath. Finally, if you've had the mis-fortune to be on a ventilator, I was four years ago for nearly three weeks, I can tell you first hand it messes with both your body and mind for the rest of your life, I have no recollection of those weeks or even arriving at hospital.

  8. The Minster has just asked councils to re-open cemeteries Government to publish guidance on funerals Jenrick says he is asking councils to reopen cemeteries and graveyards so people can "seek solace" at the graves of those they loved, or lay flowers. "There are times in my life when I have needed to do that", he says, adding that small mercies can make a difference. Jenrick also cites a case where mourners were turned away and says, "funerals can go ahead with close family present".

  10. Have a think about all the shops, butchers, bakers, fishmongers, general stores etc, in the future will they continue to implement social/personal distancing?
  11. The chances of that happening are so slim and they wear gloves!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Purchase Masks?

If you want to wear a mask that's your choice, Khan may want these worn, they don't protect the wearer, rather those in there vicinity. The Govt and all the experts asked have said they do NOT provide a benefit. Scaremonger as much as you like, feel psychologically stronger if you want to wear one but life is hard enough as it is with all the restrictions. It's a shame that people in supermarkets have no appreciation of 2m and STILL walk close. Some people have no understanding on what a 2m distance is, I've seen people standing more that 18ft apart thinking that's a 2m gap.
  14. another reason Khan can use to increase Future fares
  15. Sainsbury's not accepting cash on the checkout, checkout workers are all wearing gloves anyway, and making people use self service instead. They are then not wiping the self service tills down, unlike in Morrisons who both take cash and as seen yesterday also wipe down the self service tills between each customers use After having queued round the car park with everyone else (people still don't know what 2m is, making the queue much longer than it needs to be, and they seem transfixed and glued to their phones rather than concentrating on keeping a safe distance apart and moving forward. Yesterday one guy in the queue had an SLR camera and was duly taking zoom photo's of the queue!!!!

Sue - tried to pm you but your mail box is full.
  17. Well, it certainly seems to effectively wind you up. You can go now.
  18. How about those that have to rely on the bus to do their weekly shop as it's the only way to get around. Try not being so high and mighty.
  19. Thanks for the update, I hope he makes a good recovery. It will be something that he'll never forget. I hope this experience will in the future, now him having seen the front line of the NHS in full operation, it will aid increased funding for what staff do so diligently day in day out. - From someone who literally owes their life to the NHS.
  20. Nothing wrong with me pal. Yes they are dying, have you had pneumonia or seen how it kills, I promise you it's horrible to experience first hand, HAVE you ever seen a loved one on NIV {non invasive ventilation), I have and it ain't nice to see or pleasant for the person receiving the treatment. I've probably experienced and seen things you never have and that would make you shiver if I shared them with you, so before you get all high and mighty and start trying to lecture, I suggest you wind it in
  21. Yes, I AM for real and YES I do use the buses. If you can afford and want to pay more tax good on you, but don't expect everyone to be on whatever you earn. 22. Actually that's wrong, I included Non Political in the main body of the thread when I initially created it on 6th April and THEN added Non Political into the title yesterday, 8th April.
  23. yeah, I don't disagree agree with you, move the smart reader to the middle of the bus then.
  24. Try John Bercow - straight talking and tells it as it IS.
  25. I set this up clearly as a NON POLITICAL thread. If you which to discuss the election, Brexit or some other political topic, i.e a new labour Leader or whatever else politically, go set up a separate thread. Or otherwise stick to the topic, it's really not hard to comprehend, use that thing between your ears man, commonly called a brain.
