  1. Sainsbury's not accepting cash on the checkout, checkout workers are all wearing gloves anyway, and making people use self service instead. They are then not wiping the self service tills down, unlike in Morrisons who both take cash and as seen yesterday also wipe down the self service tills between each customers use After having queued round the car park with everyone else (people still don't know what 2m is, making the queue much longer than it needs to be, and they seem transfixed and glued to their phones rather than concentrating on keeping a safe distance apart and moving forward. Yesterday one guy in the queue had an SLR camera and was duly taking zoom photo's of the queue!!!!

    DPD

Sue - tried to pm you but your mail box is full.
  3. Well, it certainly seems to effectively wind you up. You can go now.
  4. How about those that have to rely on the bus to do their weekly shop as it's the only way to get around. Try not being so high and mighty.
  5. Thanks for the update, I hope he makes a good recovery. It will be something that he'll never forget. I hope this experience will in the future, now him having seen the front line of the NHS in full operation, it will aid increased funding for what staff do so diligently day in day out. - From someone who literally owes their life to the NHS.
  6. Nothing wrong with me pal. Yes they are dying, have you had pneumonia or seen how it kills, I promise you it's horrible to experience first hand, HAVE you ever seen a loved one on NIV {non invasive ventilation), I have and it ain't nice to see or pleasant for the person receiving the treatment. I've probably experienced and seen things you never have and that would make you shiver if I shared them with you, so before you get all high and mighty and start trying to lecture, I suggest you wind it in
  7. Yes, I AM for real and YES I do use the buses. If you can afford and want to pay more tax good on you, but don't expect everyone to be on whatever you earn. 8. Actually that's wrong, I included Non Political in the main body of the thread when I initially created it on 6th April and THEN added Non Political into the title yesterday, 8th April.
  9. yeah, I don't disagree agree with you, move the smart reader to the middle of the bus then.
  10. Try John Bercow - straight talking and tells it as it IS.
  11. I set this up clearly as a NON POLITICAL thread. If you which to discuss the election, Brexit or some other political topic, i.e a new labour Leader or whatever else politically, go set up a separate thread. Or otherwise stick to the topic, it's really not hard to comprehend, use that thing between your ears man, commonly called a brain.
  12. Right so it's going to become a FREE bus service? Who pays in the long term for this??
  13. Yesterday cumulative figure was - 10.41%, increase slowing but still increasing slightly on a daily basis.
  14. As reported on LBC Radio, Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been moved to Intensive Care having deteriorated this afternoon. Non political.
  15. Southwark - all closed, except for funerals Lewisham - all closed Mon - Fri, except for funerals, open at the weekend Lambeth - "suggest you do not visit the cemetery or crematoria grounds during this time unless you are attending a funeral but if you do please observe social distancing and take any litter home with you." A total lack of joined up thinking by boroughs, each operating different policies. Where's Sadiq when you need a decision? Simply put Southwark's approach is, we can do what we want, when we want and how we want, even though we supposedly represent and work for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Purchase Masks?

Growlybear - on another thread reported somewhere on EDF, a cllr had spoken to them about this very subject and had seen the invoices which showed the wholesaler costs. You stated you found an alternative supply, so buy them on ebay and cease slating this local retailer.

    Purchase Masks?

So why don't you email the Govt? Not saying that government has managed > this crisis well though. And if people don't Understand the instruction to stay indoors, when the police act and then the Govt impose more restrictive controls' you'll know why.

    Purchase Masks?

Well if ebay are cheaper, you can buy the items there. And when I went in on Thursday to buy a couple of things from Krystal, I noticed they had a large sign in the window explaining the costings, which you have also no doubt seen. I'm sorry, but I tire of people slating a local retailer who is trying to make a living, are operating in difficult circumstances, go beyond expectations, are offering additional services i.e. the Post Office counter and are a community pharmacy. I have always found the staff to be accommodating, helpful, considerate, kind, thoughtful and happy recommend them to others to use. I suggest you try the likes of Day Lewis pharmacy, or Boots or Morrisons and then come to a conclusion. The choice is yours. If you think the items you mention are expensive, nothing forces you to buy them from Krystals. In fact soap and hot water are equally as good as sanitiser. And regarding masks, the Government stated this afternoon they don't recommend using them.
