  1. Great, I'll be there! Where did you end up booking your hair appointment ladyruskin? Enjoy the pampering :)
  2. Next Wednesday works for me. Could also do lunch or coffee. The French cafe on Forest hill road does lovely food, or we could grab a coffee and go for a walk in Peckham Rye. Was thinking 11 or 12ish? x
  3. Hi Ladies, I'm due end of July and haven't made it to any of the meet ups yet. Would love to meet some local mums. My 3 year old is in nursery on Wednesdays and Fridays so these days would work best for me. Would be nice to meet for lunch/coffee or waddle in the park :) x
  4. Mathew Soobroy at Charles Worthington in Percy Street, West London. He's fantastic. Good idea treating yourself, I'm due end of July, think I'll do the same! :)) http://www.charlesworthington.com/salons/team/mathew-soobroy
  5. My daughter really enjoyed Once Upon a Potty - (Girl) by Alona Frankel. The author uses American 'mom' and 'diaper' but you can easily replace the words as you're reading it to her. It really helped my daughter understand the whole process of using a potty. She also liked Princess Polly's Potty by Andrea Pinnington. She enjoyed pressing the 'hooray' as we turned each page. You are very welcome to borrow these books from me. My daughter is now potty trained so she won't miss them
  6. Hi there, I'm pregnant with Baby no.2, due 28th July. My daughter is 3 years old. Looks like she'll have a baby brother but we'll find out the sex for sure in March. :))
  7. We eat here as a family often and the food is delicious. The pizzas are delicious :)
  8. My daughter loves 'Talking Carl' (he repeats what you say in a funny voice) and the toddler teaser games (have to touch shapes, colours etc).
  9. Should have mentioned that it's dealing with sleep issues, not focussing on much else....
  10. It was called 'can't sleep kids' and was on channel 4. You can see it on 4oD. Definitely worth a watch.
  11. Another vote for happyland sets. My daughter has loved playing with these since the age of 1.
  12. Piplings nursery do half days. They just opened as a nursery in April so may have some spaces left. My daughter goes for 1 half day a week and loves it. I highly recommend it. It's about a 5 minute walk from the horniman
  13. My daughter went through a stage of doing this. Do you have any toys at the bottom of her cot? I used to put a few in and my daughter would happily play with these for a while and more often than not she'd fall back to sleep after a little play. I found things like stacking cups and pictures books kept her happy :)
  14. My daughter goes to piplings and she loves it there. I'd highly recommend it. There are sessions in the mornings and afternoons.
  15. Argos or Early Learning Centre in Peckham
  16. Thanks Molly, some great suggestions there. I love the idea of her friends showing her how they do it, will definitely try that out. We had another crying fit tonight. Not wanting to pee and she's had her nappy on all day. She eventually did one in the bath and cried through it but was so relieved afterwards. I'm just wondering if there's a little bit more to this. Perhaps a urinary infection. I'll see how she goes tomorrow and them maybe take her to the doctor for a check x
  17. Hi there, Was hoping someone else has experienced this and could offer some tips... I began potty training my 28 month old girl on Friday as i was pretty sure she was ready. She has been very happy to sit on the potty for long periods and tells me when she has done a poo in her nappy etc. After breakfast on the Friday I put her in her big girl pants and explained what was happening and kept reminding her to sit on the potty. She managed to hold in her pee until after 1pm! A little trickle would come out when sitting on the potty and she'd then clamp her legs shut and asked for a cuddle or to be carried and did actually say that she was scared. Eventually after holding for so long she peed on the floor but i managed to put her on the potty for the last few drops! She seemed really pleased afterwards that she had managed to pee in the potty but didn't do a pee again until she was in her night time nappy. I tried again on Saturday but gave up by 3pm as she just wouldn't release all day. Even when i put her nappy on she was still holding it in and just wanted cuddled and carried. It was so heartbreaking to see and i can't believe i've put her through that. overnight she did a poo and her nappy was wet but she was still holding this morning for a good couple of hours. She's eventually wet her nappy and seems to be back to normal now. She's clearly not ready to be potty trained but i do worry that this fear will not go away. any thoughts on what i can do?
  18. I would love to hear tips too. A few months ago i found a dead mouse in my daughters bedroom! I haven't found any droppings or seen anything else but can hear them at night scuttling about. :-S
  19. What happens at leapers? I'm looking for something on a Tuesday morning too
