  1. Ditto - he did a good job for me in the past. I managed to speak to him recently for a quote but despite many messages, he never called back…
  2. Good that PETA is on it but can we add our voices to the fight against this horrible practice? I’m still shocked! A petition maybe? Happy to raise to the RSPCA but don’t want to duplicate efforts. I’ve signed campaigns from RSPCA before which sends it directly to your councillor
  3. I’m now sharing my garden bin with my neighbour and so yes, hopefully it means less ugly bins on the street Brace yourselves for the future price of food waste bins!
  4. Sorry for your loss, Marnie was a very cute girl
  5. Southwark charges 20 garden waste bags for £30 and they would graciously collect them for ‘free’…. What a rip off! We’re now sharing the bin with our neighbours!
  6. This forum!!! A Southwark treasure, though appreciate the borough does not have anything to do with it 😅
  7. Thank you for your replies! I have posted them for free here
  8. I still have a few Covid test kits. I don’t believe they would catch a potential highly mutated virus now but any idea if/how those could still be useful? Or shall I just bin them? Thanks 🙂
  9. Sorry for your loss Jim
  10. Thanks NewWave, I contacted them again after your note and whoever I talked to mentioned there is neither a pick up option nor drop off points 😬 Dress for Success is however moving near Farringdon station in May and this might be an easier drop off point. Will keep looking in the meantime 😊
  11. Does anyone know about a LOCAL charity that specifically collects/needs women’s business clothes like smart dresses, suits etc. similar to Smart Works, Dress for success? Thanks!
  12. Maybe try the second hand bookshop on Oglander road next to the print shop? https://www.books-peckham.com/ [email protected] txt only: 07709117224 Otherwise for a few books there are various community libraries, one of which is right next to the church on Copelston road
  13. Petitou in Peckham has a nice vibe on sunday mornings. Get there first thing though, as it get busy after. https://petitoucafe.com/
  14. And where will we find these fascinating threads once the EDF has gone :( I shall very much miss these!
  15. I ordered one online sunday evening at 11pm and received it this morning, it is quite convenient
  16. I found something of yours on Lordship lane near William Rose butcher just now. Please contact me so that I can give it back to you (will ask for your ID) Thanks
  17. Another great recommendation for Andy who is very professional, knowledgeable and a really nice guy! I always leave his treatment room relaxed and relieved of pain. Great treatment room and close to lordship lane!
  18. Is there somewhere local around Peckham / Goose green area where we can recycle light bulbs please? (apart from the recycling centre on old Kent road) Thank you lovely people!
  19. I reported and would encourage people to report concerns on the police website: www.streetsafetool.com It takes 30 seconds. StreetSafe is a pilot service for anyone to anonymously tell us about public places where you have felt or feel unsafe, because of environmental issues, eg street lighting, abandoned buildings or vandalism and/or because of some behaviours, eg being followed or verbally abused
  20. Another recommendation for Elly Allen! She helped me with all my curtains!
  21. I have an ultrasound mouse reppeller you are welcome to borrow if you want? I had a big mice issue in my previous flat until a pest controller blocked any potential entry point. Good luck!
  22. So sorry to hear this sad news Sally Gross
  23. Hello lovely neighbours! I have a patio and a few steps that need to be pressure washed every year. I used to have someone come around to do it but wondering whether it is time to buy one as I spent a lot of money on this already. Is it easy to use please? Is it better to buy one or to rent one please? Or is it better to have it professionally done to ensure quality? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts! Thank you!!
  24. The free version is perfectly fine to do small montages! If you need help feel free to PM
  25. I regularly use VivaVideo app (free!) on my phone. It is basically a video editor. You can create your own montage with pictures, videos, music, timing adjustments etc and it is fairly simple to use. Not sure about insta, but the final file is a video so would be easy to upload to your website. Good luck!
