Errrmmmm what if you are not a girly girl & dont have a handbag??? Is there a dress code at the GC, my work colleagues said it has recently been gentrified so can I get away with smart jeans & trainer type shoes??? Looking forward to meeting you all, although a tad nervous :-$ Cheers Giddy Gecko -

I will try & get along too as a "lurker" as the eloquent Mr Sean puts it... however I too will be working on Saturday :'( & am still a little shy about having not anyone else yet :-$ -
Does anyone else own a motorbike & if so has it been recently knocked carelessly to the ground??? I live in Upland Rd & noticed a rather noice Yamaha had been toppled over onto the pavement last week, then this morning my housemate came home & asked if I needed a hand picking my bike back up... Now it could be that someone is reversing into innocent motorbikes & knocking them over without noticing or..... altogether more likely there is a yob/yobette/s going around purposefully pushing them over. Fortunately I had a thick winter cover on Otis to keep her warm & dry so she was not too damaged but the mirrors needed retightening & she had lost some petrol. I took her out for a spin & she handled as well as normal so I can only presume no damage was done to forks/suspension or steering. Just wondered if any other bike owners out there had suffered a similar experience? Cheers GG

The 1st Birthday bash sounds great, I was planning to come along but post near miss RTI the Friday before I was still suffering with whiplash, pulled muscles & blinding headaches so after going back to my GP I was referred back to Kings College Hospital for secondary tests.... blah blah, all ok but felt really pulled about & dint get home til 8pm. HOWEVER..... the Uplands is right up my street, so to speak & I would really love to come along & meet y'all. CHeers GG -
At last I saw a famous person, well actually Sandi Toksvig did literally walk into Treena whilst she was here from Oz but of course being Australian Treena had absolutely NO idea who Sandi was.... However I passed Tracey Barlow in Northcross Road earlier this week, she was with an older woman & looking very smug that people were recognising her... Ahhhh to be famous NOT!!!

:'( Why are why are there so many crows on Peckham Rye, where are they from? what do they want? Or is it just me?

Hello Mr Adminstrator Sorry to be a dumb bunny but kind of new to this. I have several items I am wishing to sell locally, can I do one posting listing all the items & offer price or should I list each one individually, I have around 10 items to sell inc surfboard, wetsuit, futon & electrical goods??? Please help this damn-sell in distress. Cheers giddygecko

Ooooooooh yesterday I saw Tracy Barlow & an older woman walking along North Cross Road. I saw her in a restaurant in Manchester last September so maybe she is stalking me hehehe
-
oh dear has it been that long?? Hmmmm I guess I was never that well known before my 2 month absence but Badger, John Smith & Bagpuss know me
-
>:D< I have definitely met the one but she lives in Australia. We have been chatting for just over 1 year but have only spent 10 weeks of actual real quality time together, but in that time I have completely fallen for her & yes she is very much the one. Cheers GG

:'( I hang my head in shame at my appalling lack of contact, but you know I was so excited to have my little Aussie chick here & we crammed so much travelling, visiting etc into 9 weeks I hardly had time to log on. Sooooooooo how is everyone, whats the goss, who's new, whats the go? Will anyone still talk to me & invite me back in?

Indeed Mr Sean I have been introducing said g/f to some of the more local sites of London but we head off to Scotland today for just over a week, keep a seat warm for us in the pub & let us know when & where... Whoops VERY off topic :-$ Cheers GG
-
I've been in East Dulwich for almost a month & not seen anyone famous but the minute my girlfriend arrives from Australia Sandi Toksvig (& female friend) walked right in her, almost knocking her over & apologised, of course Treena had NO idea who had almost knocked her flying but I was stood in OMG mode before explaining who Sandi is.

Obvious route to me, buy an Oyster, the world is yours.... jump on No 40 bus to London Bridge then get the tube to Old St on the Northern Line... Easy squeezy. I will be doing this route on Sat so will let you know how it goes. I realise at Sat trip will differ greatly from a normal Mon-Fri 9-5 trip but will let you know anyways. Cheers GG

Haha Mr Sean NO I really did mean that Bagpuss is a hoot as in funny as.... but I am sure she is a hottie too, really I am not at liberty to say, having not met the lovely lady, besides my betrothed is leaving the gorgeous Oz in about 6 hours to wing her way over to me, we have been apart for just over 6 months now :'(. Tillie Trotter has me in stitches & too many others to mention...
-
;-) Hmmmmmm having not actually met any of you but Mr Sean is a gentleman & always cheers the room, DM makes me laugh, Bagpuss is a hoot & have met on Facebook, as with Badger & Nikster seems really friendly too. I think you are all lovely & cannot therefore choose a favourite. Nuff said GG

I am now struck by a flu like bug but seeing the Dr 2moro who will hopefully give me loads of drugs to make me human again then I will be able to come & out play on Monday, I will not however be wearing a wetsuit & carrying a bodyboard as per my facebook piccy. Jeans with smart casual shirt, short darm semi spiked hair & bags under my eyes, that will be me. Cheers GG
-
Oooooooops I checked in to Facebook before ED Forum & I am SOOO sorry Mr Sean but this man called John Smith asked me to be his friend & I rejected him not having a clue it was you. Apologies, did I appear as Liz Ray-Dobson or giddy gecko ??? Cheers GG
-
hmmmmmmm thats odd maybe I exist under my real name although I changed my screen name to giddy gecko..... try Liz Ray-Dobson, still waiting for your invite on face, although if you see my pic there I am bodyboarding in Australia & I have no intentions of wearing a wet suit to the pub or bringing my board. Monday night is good for me @ The Rye, so hopefully see you all there. Cheers GG xx

giddygecko replied to fractionater's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Perhaps the noise from the low flying helicopter will scare the young cat out of its hidey hole in Landells Rd??? 2 birds with one stone so to speak... GG
