  1. Ahhhhhhhh nature lovers everywhere..... I love to see & hear the birds & I do like cats BUT how does one stop our feline friends crapping in our garden & spraying their vile tomcat spray over my motorbike cover??? I heard that cats dont like citrus ..... is there a cat repellant but harmless to nature spray out there ??? Cheers Gex
  2. Hello luvverlies, please dont disown me.... I am now living in Forest Hill but made some really good friends thru EDF so I would love to stay in the loop for Badders & drinkies... Hope to see you soon ~ Gex xxx
  3. Awwwwwwww Baggi thank you so much for trying anyways hon. It seems to be getting harder, I wonder what happened with your card, bloody bastards... (oops sorry). See you soon flower xx
  4. Ohhhhhhhhhh thats a shame Bags, I am well impressed that you remember my shift patterns. I am on lates next week so wont be able to make it but if whoever does manage to book a court for the following week (23rd) I would really love to play. It's a shame it is getting so busy & hard to book eh? Enjoy Venice Bags & see the rest of you soon. Take care all GG
  5. and me Baggi if there is enough room, as you know I can only do every other week cos of shifts but I cant think of anywhere else locally. Will try to have a look around before next Weds. Cheers Gex
  6. ::o Ahhhhhhh that's a shame, I am finishing at 4:30 tomorrow too, nevermind, these things can't be helped. I am on lates again next week so will have to be 9th April for me. Bags hope to catch up with you before then..... sorry had to dash down to Southend to see me old folks over the weekend & all a bit down at the mo so wasn't around in London over Easter. Cheers Gex
  7. hey & count me in for next week too 26th ~ Cheers Gex Is anyone doing anything fun over Easter?
  8. Damn, I came to work without my stuff so if I can get home before 6pm, change & get back out again alls well but I usually have to wait at least 20mins for a P12 home from Bermondsey which then takes at least 40mins plus the 15min walk up to my road from bus stop so I will do my very very best but its kinda out of my hands. Cheers for the info - Gex
  9. PRE-WARNING & POSSIBLE APOLOGIES!!! Hi all, due to the horrendously gusty winds I can't even consider riding Otis to work today, however the last time I got a bus home on a Weds I dint get home til gone 6:45pm, I was considering taking my Badminton stuff to work & going straight from there but cant figure the logistics of getting there from Bermondsey... :-S Bags ~ I will text you of my homeward progress & if it looks like I am getting nowhere with the bus then I will have to stand down for tonight :'( Good Luck one & all, wrap up warm & keep safe, better yet, stay indoors unless you really have to venture out ~ Gex
  10. Ahhhhhh how cute a crocodile walking in the wind, I was thinking of cycling but in this weather that is near suicide & utter madness but I guess if we walked close enough together we could all ensure that the wind didn't whisk anyway off. Cheers windphobic Gex Mike - what is the phobia of wind & I dont mean the flatulent type??
  11. Keef mate, sorry for the delay & thanks for booking the courts in the Lovely Baggis absense... Bags ~ will you be cycling? I've 2 boxs of Stubbis for your school as requested, also I picked up some schools vouchers at Sainsburys in case you collect them. PCG are you able to offer lifts this week or is car still poorly? Much appreciated if you can, but if not no worries. Mike, Keef, Mrs Keef & Asset... see you there? Cheers Gex
  12. I Swear to God if they cant nick the whole bike they take it bit by bit..... bastards.... It outrages me. Get yourself a cheap cover & bungee it over the bike in future makes it harder for them to get to your appendages. I had me tax disc nicked from the holder 2 days after I bought it, I had to go all the way to Wimbledon to get a duplicate.
  13. hee hee thank you very much.... I have a strange affinity with the little creatures & it kinda suits me
  14. Humming along to ..... "I'll go where the music takes me...." If I am not on lates then I will defo be there at the CPT unless so careless cigarette flinging baffoon::o has torched it by then :-$ Cheers El Gecko Gex aka "The Norti Firestarter"
  15. I'm on lates this week so wont be there unfortunately but have a good one all. Cheers Gex
  16. Hmmmmm sorry Keef cant help you there, not sure where the Montpelier is either.... I think I will be on lates for the 4/4 but I will try to get along Cheers Gex
  17. What a great idea Rose.... I might try that as I zoom past on my little 125cc Gex
  18. Hurrah, good onya & big it up to CitizenED if only there were more like you >:D< Gex
  19. Community Wardens work very closely with local schools, businesses, residents & the Police. I know for a fact that in Bermondsey they provide high vis patrols EVERY day when the schools kick out & sometimes with limited staff covering 3 main high schools over a large area it is not as easy as it seems & takes more than a dimwitted not very bright individual to provide reassurance patrols at & around the schools, not to mention all the MANY other things they do which do incidentally include, FPNs for ALL littering & dog fouling NOT just cigarette butts, reporting environmental issues such as faulty lighting, broken pavements, overgrown trees etc.... gerry Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Sean > > Just saw this thread now, and yes, I agree, its > not nice being fined for something so trivial when > school kids and adults are mugged every day in > East Dulwich and nothing happens to prevent > that!!! The council just wants to make money, > forget about protecting young people and adults > trying to walk home from school or get off a bus. > There's my rant in defense of you.
  20. It is along the same lines of nearly ALL FPNs i.e. ?75 "on the spot fine" & if paid within 10 days it reduces to ?50. I unfortunately got a TfL FPN for being in the box junction by Peckham bus depot.... similar thing ?120 fine but if paid within 10 days it reduced to ?60. So there is your discrepency in the amount sorted. As for patrolling in pairs, the Community Wardens are on the streets between the hours of 9am - 10pm, 5 days per week & for safety, the wide extent of the role & for evidence & backup purpose MUST patrol in pairs.
  21. I will be there & as it is so close to home I could be there in 3 mins.... so I will go with the majority 8pm onwards I guess in order to de-work, shower, change, eat, do hair & make up.... blah blah ... see you all there. GG
  22. Hmmmmmmmm Finished Billy now & only have a about 10 pages of CWG2 left to go.... I bought & never read Vernon God Little so might start that one next but also have a insightful book about Aborignal Dreamtimes which I am looking forward to reading especially since Kevin Rudd gave a particularly eloquent & heartfelt Sorry speech which was long awaited in Oz. Listen to me anyone would think I was an Aussie... Hey when I marry/CP my Aussie Mrs does that make me half Aussie by default.... will I have to bleach blonde my hair & grow it into shaggy surf lox??? Hee hee sorry I went way off tangent there :-$ Oooop GG
  23. Mike SE22 If the offender/fouler is seen by a Southwark Community Warden they can also be "on the spot fined" for fouling, however as usual it is catching the shitty shitters in the act which proves difficult. There really is no excuse, if you own a dog you know it is gonna crap at some point so owners should ALWAYS carry bags & be prepared to pick up after it, if not dont get a bloody dog, simple as.... God it makes me mad. (6) Also I wish male dogs wouldn't piss up my motorbike & cover, but I guess thats my silly fault for chaining the bike to a lamp-post :( Rant over ~ GG
