Interesting that May's laid down the challenge to Corbyn. At the election she was the one running scared from leaders' debates. And why have such a public debate, the public aren't voting on her deal, MPs are. I think she would win a debate with Corbyn simply because he hasn't got a proposal for a Brexit deal to speak of that isn't more cakeism. But even if he had, why should there be a debate on it, Parliament is voting on May's deal, not May's versus Corbyn's. Instead she should be debating with someone proposing No Deal, as that currently is the only legal alternative to May's deal. For anything else to happen, e.g an alternative deal or People's Vote, Article 50 needs to be extended with the EU's permission to allow for the time needed to carry out such an alternative strategy...

As long as the plywood is nailed/screwed to the joists properly, it will provide all the 'load-bearing' you need for furniture/people walking about etc. Eng wood flooring is just a finish and doesn't have a 'load-bearing' capacity. It's inherent 'strength' is that it's not supposed to move, warp, split, crack etc like normal floorboards can. Junckers, a leading manufacturer, make most of their boards 14mm thick...

I've laid rubber tiles over a plywood sub-base and managed to get IMHO a good finish. Cutting the tiles where required was a doddle with a sharp Stanley/craft knife. You just have to be careful that the surface is very smooth and even. In your case it might be worth pouring a self-levelling compound over the concrete in order to achieve this...

Rubber flooring, easy to lay, comes in tiles and rolls. Dalsouple the best, but plenty of other suppliers out there...

Thanks poch, from a personal point of view there's no point in another GE if Labour are still going down the Brexit route like they did at the last GE. Any form of Brexit will damage the economy and impact the poorest the most. So if anyone of a similar mind is writing to HH, please make a point of that, adding that a People's Vote is the only way out of this mess...
