This happens a lot in rented properties when tenants leave, best to inform the landlord/letting agent so they can deduct the costs of clearing from the tenant's deposit...
  4. jacks09 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Will be using a lot of these plants > http://www.wallgarden.co.uk/plants.html Worth noting that some of those plants listed aren't evergreen and will die back naturally in the Autumn/Winter leaving gaps. Also, I'm curious what some of those plants like the Echinacea, which are tall and slender, would look like on a vertical wall, which seems better suited to trailing and clump forming plants. > Have been thinking of holding off until Spring to > install it as have read there is a higher chance > of the plants "taking" In general Spring is best, but some plants can go in at other times...
  5. Good sensible post Sally, I'd much rather the bulky waste collection was charged separately than come out of the general subsidy i.e. council tax payments etc. Whereas everyone benefits from the weekly/fortnightly waste and recycling collections, not everyone uses the BHR, and there's also the added benefit of knowing that the items are disposed of properly and not fly-tipped somewhere...
  6. I think jack is referring to an evergreen 'Living Wall', it has it's own irrigation and drainage system... https://www.sempergreen.com/en/target-groups/consumers/living-wall-for-consumers This is a good article on all types...https://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profile?PID=547

  12. JohnL Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > The Labour Party (for what it means) has > specifically said it will vote no to a blind > Brexit. True but wouldn't be enough on their own, esp with Hoey et al. The Tory rebels have proved they can't be trusted when it comes to the crunch e.g. the 'meaningful vote'. I can easily see them voting for further fudge. Agree poch, but the goalposts have been moved so much by the Brextremists that No Deal and a hard deal like Chequers are now seen as the 'norm'...
  13. I thought the thing with a 'Blind Brexit' is that it's unknown what it entails deal wise, it's just a continuation of the fudge (in particular with the Irish Border) that was agreed last Dec. In theory it could get through Parliament as it still allows all sides to fight for what they want. But sounds like it's also high risk for the EU allowing UK to Brexit without knowing the deal. I think they would rather A50 was extended and Brexit only happens once a deal is agreed. Anyway, all will become much clearer in the coming weeks, about to hit the point of no return if A50 is not to be extended...

  15. keano77 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Possibly DR, but it would fracture democracy in > Britain. No possibly about it, it definitely would. Our democracy wouldn't be fractured, I'd argue a PV strengthens it, however it would sow political discord within the UK, but there are other ways they can do that without strengthening the EU...
  16. keano77 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > - help remainers try to overturn the referendum > result But if successful that would be a massive positive effect on the EU if the UK doesn't Brexit. The russki's want to weaken and undermine the EU and NATO, not strengthen them...
  17. Think about it keano, the russki's anti-democratic aim is to undermine the EU and NATO as it sees them as a major threat to it's sphere of influence in Eastern Europe. Covert support for the PV would undermine that. If the UK doesn't Brexit it's a massive boost for the EU and democracy...#biggerfishtofry
