  1. It’s not TJ that offer the appointments. It’s a service that is based in their building, on the first floor, that can be used by all the surgeries in the area. I cannot remember the name of it.
  2. Have you had any telephone appointments? It should be during that they decide it’s necessary to see you in person. The Gardens Surgery is supposedly one of the best GP practice around. There is also a service at Tessa Jowell Health Centre that will see patients in person who can’t get face to face appts at their own GP surgery. The surgery has to refer you. I found this info out from the TJ practice, where I am registered, and also from reading some of the other GP websites in the area. I’d contact the practice manager for help.
  3. I once had an idiot unleash his dog on the pavement on LL, near Goose Green (so extremely close to traffic) to let it rush at my dog who was sedately walking next to me on a lead. I was carrying a bag of shopping. I shouted at him. He couldn’t accept it was a stupid and dangerous thing to do, both for my dog, his dog and me. He said that he and his dog were jjust being friendly. Just one of many stories I have about dog owners without manners; common sense or critical thinking.
  4. Thanks for your reply. I wonder how it compares to Pizza GoGo on East Dulwich Grove. I became quite fond of their thin crust pizzas and they aren’t sourdough. Haven’t ordered from them for a while. Their pick up prices are very good.
  5. I received a flyer through my letter box and they are offering deals for Any Pizza, Any Size for £10.99 delivery or £7.99 collection. Can order over the phone. Was also told that any pizza on website can be ordered for that price. Has anyone tried their pizzas? They have a good selection of vegan ones. And, although not mentioned on the website, they have anchovies and tuna. Paneer is also available as a topping. 3 dips for £1.
  6. I’d like to know this too. Last time I ate out in a restaurant I got Covid.
  7. Yes, this is true. I used to feed the crows on Peckham Rye and once you feed them they never forget you and will appear almost instantly the next time you visit. I follow an account on Instagram called Crows in a Park which follows crows in a central London Park.
  8. Has happened to me in the past on Goose Green. Not recently though.
  9. Are you going to go? I’d like to know who the councillor for Tessa Jowell Surgery is.
  10. I didn’t even know there was a launderette on that road. The rent hike does appear to be extremely high.
  11. Couldn’t make the opening day on Sunday, but saw pictures on Instagram. There was a queue round the block and they were sold out in 2.5 hours.
  12. That list is very out of date. The lead GP is incorrect for starters. So are the pharmacists. Grim.
  13. Heard that the lead GP who took over from Dr. Jonathan Love left and there is now a new lead GP, Dr. Richard Shama. He’s also down as Group Medical Director of Omnes across seven surgeries.
  14. Did you eventually get an appt? I phoned this morning and got the message about not being able to book by phone. I pressed the button re prescriptions and was told that if you can’t use the app someone will help you with a booking. Was given a tel appt with a pharmacist but am not confident. I do not think they can refuse to help you by phone, no matter what the message says.
  15. Sara has an Instagram account called Bunhead Bakes. She started her business during lockdown, delivering far and wide. She then did lots of markets and also supplies local shops and cafes. I wish her much success.
  16. The estate agents are *supposed* to act on behalf of the sellers but they often don’t. They want to get the sale through asap so they can get their commission. There should be a sellers information pack to accompany the sale. Have you seen one for this property?
  17. There aren’t specific dog parks here, but there are parks for everyone that are fenced. Dulwich Park has certain areas where dogs can be let off lead, as does Peckham Rye and Brockwell Park. There are a lot of parks in general in SE London.
  18. Call the telephone number on the card of the provider.
  19. Put them on the Dog Lost website.
  20. Have you listed them on the Dog Lost site?
  21. What an ordeal. Who ended up contacting you? Are you happy with the new GP? Could you send me a DM with who you changed to? What kind of appointment system do they have? Thanks.
  22. An improvement but I wonder if a patient can also call ( or walk in) now to make an appointment in advance or just via the app. I still want to know about their *rule* that you can only request a referral on two particular days in the week.
  23. Maybe a local food blogger could pay a visit. Not been there myself. How long has it been open?
