Never. Never. Never again. Had a really awful experience with them caused by the owner.

It’s a shame that that topic is closed/archived for further replies. It sounds like a great and helpful business. I’d love to see some of the pictures that had been posted.

Used to enjoy going in for a set course lunch when I had a day off. The service and food was always excellent.

Recommendation for a cockapoo breeder
Froglander replied to Daniel_CR17's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Why not get a real poodle. They can be clipped to look like a cockapoo if you like. They don’t need to be in a show clip. They don’t shed. Both breeds would need regular grooming. I have/had friends with very charming poodles both medium and standard so see if you can make the acquaintance of some. -
How did you manage to outwit your resident fox?

I’ve been looking at their website from time to time over the last few years and I was sure that at least one loaf - the signature sourdough - is supplied by the BreadBread bakery who are at a lot of markets at weekends and who used to have a small cafe bakery shop in Brixton Market. I used to go there specifically to get their bread. They are also affiliated with Franco Manca. That was the first FM, co-founded by Bridget Hugo, who died last year. BreadBread also supplied the bread for the now closed Crooked Well pub restaurant (but now open under a different name - The Kerfield Arms) in Grove Lane SE5. Not sure where the pastries come from but it doesn’t seem possible to choose which ones to have delivered. I do think they chop and change the suppliers from time to time. I like the look of the (expensive) crullers they sometimes have plus granola, the savoury pastries and expensive bagels. They frequently have special offers for a first delivery. 40% is the highest discount I’ve seen so far. I too would be worried about a fox being an opportunist.

Yes, they sound excellent.

East Dulwich Sunday Lunch Club 22.02.26
Froglander replied to suzannej's topic in What's on in East Dulwich
I noticed the meat in the photo which also included sausages. It is an expensive price, especially for a vegetarian offering. Haven’t been for a roast dinner in the area for a long time. Used to like the offerings at the Irish pub just by Rye Lane in Peckham. They changed hands quite a few years ago. They used Irish potatoes for their roasties. -
Wondering if anyone has used this delivery service and if so, how was it? Have read mixed reviews.

Please name all of the shops.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I noticed there is a Travelodge in Peckham High Street. Anyone tried it? Thank you.

I see that the owner was found but the post by TURKAN is a photo of a tabby with completely different markings, and colour. Hopefully this owner and all cat owners will get their cat chipped. Cats can often remove their collars on branches etc. so you can’t rely on them to last for identification. I had a cat who routinely lost every stretchy collar I ever put on him very quickly.

You & Yours, Radio 4, is covering this today.

Which branch of Medivet is this? You should be complaining about the price if they gave you three different ones. Medivet used to charge circa £60 for titer tests and they now charge circa £260.

Thank you for the warning. Perhaps Admin could put up a warning. -
Bora taking over the pavement on LL?
Froglander replied to DiD's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Bora needs to get a bigger awning to cover their outside display and not do what is shown in the photos. They have effectively made a wall up against the kerb which is not part of their property and stopped pedestrians being able to access the pavement or kerb there. They’ve also placed part of their display on the pavement - where the watermelon and other melons are. Their frontage ends further back. You can see where the pavement starts and their cartilage ends. They’ve also encroached on the pavement on the far right hand side with their display. Was like this with the previous owner? -
Sorry to hear about this. Do you have legal expenses cover in your home insurance that would allow you to consult a solicitor? What did the housing officer say/do? Did you go through the formal complaints procedure that all councils seem to require? I think that you can then go to the Local Government Ombudsman after this procedure has been gone through. But do call the LGO first.

Can you post a photo? Sounds like it would affect visually impaired and other disabled people, including wheel chair users.
