Well I don't. What's more, I know many others that don't too. In fact, I couldn't give a rat's ar*e what race people are that I socialise with.

  6. note that 'Greater London' only came into being in 1965.
  7. 99% of statistics are made up on the spot, no?
  8. So Tony, your solution is 'Communities WILL be preserved.' How?
  9. I'll just point out that a mere 250 years ago the USA was mainly brown. Now it's mainly white. In 100 years from now it will likely be mainly tan. People move from one area to another and from one country or continent to another - and move even more these days compared to 250 or even 50 years ago. Cultural makeups of regions and countries are constantly shifting. It is inevitable.
  10. "99% of the 7 Million Londoners were White in 1965 so where do you think they or their offspring have all moved to? and why?" Have they and their offspring all moved then? I could have sworn that I saw a white person in Dulwich Village last week. Must have been dreaming... And once again you use the '99%' number - where did it come from this time? Your imagination again?
  11. A quick couple of questions for you Tony: 1. Which specific communities have moved from 99% white to majority non-white in the last 40 or 50 years? 2. Of these specific communities, which of these existed over 150 years ago, i.e. which of these communities had significant numbers of people there? For example, in Southall 150 years ago, there were only less than 1000 houses in total. 200 years ago in Southall there were less than 500 houses. Therefore, in many instances, we aren't talking about communities that have been there 'for ever'. Likewise, Southall may have a majority Sikh population now, but in 150 years time that could all change.
  12. What else is there to do other than move?
  13. Someone who commits suicide obviously has problems. IN any case, if she hated Southall so much, why did she choose to live there year after year?
  14. I completely disagree that most want to live in black, asian or mexican areas. I'd say that most want to live in rich areas, which happen to be mostly white. Unfortunately they cannot choose to live in the rich areas because, well, most aren't rich enough. Those that are rich enough move to the rich areas. Do you disagree with this? So it's very little to do with culture (other than when people initially come into a country they initially mix with their own culture). You say it will take centuries to change - I say it will take decades - maybe as many as 9 decades but less than 1 century. I went to school in Brent, North West London and our school was very mixed at the time (70s and 80s) but people didn't stay in their own cultural "groups" then I can definitely tell you! May I ask you where you heard about this white girl who committed suicide?

  17. Tony, regarding immigrants integrating, maybe it just takes time to integrate. In fact, it obviously does. People entering this country for the first time often aren't going to immediately mix with the indigenous population. However, over time, either they will or their sons and daughters will. I direct you to exhibit A, the English Cricket team, who have Owais Shah, Ravi Bopara, and Adil Rashid all playing for and supporting England. Additionally I was watching the 20:20 yesterday with England playing the West Indies and the commentators were stating how few West Indians living in London were supporting the Windies these days, compared to the 1960s and 1970s. One then spoke about his conversation with Ian Wright (England and Arsenal footballer) where he asked Ian who he supported. Ian said "England of course!". Over time, immigrants will integrate, but maybe not immediately.

Oh no no no! This is not our Tony's view at all - just some other hypothetical person's point of view, or some friend's/an acquaintance?s point of view. Tony has lots of multi-coloured friends, don't worry about that.
