My son went there and there is no feed to private schools free of charge if you attend that school so what exactly do you mean?
  2. it was a joke
  3. I would think after seeing 16 different schools you wouldn't be able to see the wood for the trees
  4. are you nurturing future generations though *Bob*?
  5. Macroban - I have said that putting a coat over the heads of fighting dogs or throwing water over them, can stop them fighting long enough to be grabbed. May work for this situation may not, don't know. To kill a dog quickly grab front legs and pull out to side fast and hard.
  6. ok dc , for pedantry's sake I'll amend that to - the staff were rubbish last few times I went in.
  7. This inverted snobbery about the village is so unfounded. I spend a lot of time there and feel a real sense of being a local in local shops, known by the staff etc etc. Saying that I've not been in the pub for ages as the staff are rubbish now but I used to really like going there. I feel that way in some of the shops on LL too. Never really go in Au Ciel as I don't have the time to sit in coffee shops at the moment sadly. They're not exactly a cheery bunch when I have been in though.
  8. I was bitten by a dog as a child, nothing like as bad as this incident and the dog was destroyed immediately. I suppose it may have been with the consent of the owner, I don't really know. I just find it bizarre that nothing can be done. I presume you will be taking the owners to court. Make sure you take photos of your daughters injuries. CWALD - the owner still has the dog apparently
  9. my elbow still hurts, looks like I'm out of the game. Might go to the doctor at some point!
  10. I've just read back over quite a few of quids posts and I don't see a particular negativity, at least no more than other people. There is a bit of a dour attitude but maybe he's just Scottish
  11. *oh don't be harsh, he's not that bad and there are worse that I can think of. let's not be cliquey.*

  17. I think quids is getting an unnecessarily hard time and it's all getting blown out of proportion. It's an opinion that was expressed and I think you should all stop it now as it's getting out of hand. There have been some pretty nasty comments thrown his way. So what if he's got a bit of an attitude - he's by no means the only person on this forum to have one.
  18. I think they still use Camberwell baths too.
  19. No but Tigersharks swimming club uses it, so if you just want to swim you can join Tigersharks and swim twice a week at Alleyn's
