  1. It's just not cricket is it
  2. Padlock is not so far-fetched. When we start being charged by the weight of our bins it will be necessary to make sure no one else is using it.
  3. Timely article
  4. Well, I'd like to go but also don't mind missing a week. Let's see nearer the time who is in or not.
  5. 9.30 - 10?? half an hour?? hardly seems worth it. Anyway it's not in my back yard luckily. call the rspca on the dog's owner.
  6. Mightyroar, is she 3? Sounds just like mine. Make up for it by being horribly cute at other times.
  7. Indeed, I would not choose to live next door to a bar (now I'm old) and all its attendant problems and if one moved in next to me now I would not be too chuffed, unlikely on my street thankfully. Sean - my neighbour goes outside for a fag at around 11pm and the smoke from her one cigarette drifts into my bedroom window and is really unpleasant (especially as it's not a Marlboro). Clouds of fag smoke drifting in all night long would be unbearable. The chatter and chink chink of ice cubes is not such an issue.
  8. "Black Cherry without the garden has no real smoking options" If my windows overlooked a garden full of people puffing on fags all night, filling my house with the smell I would make a fuss too. And I like a puff myself sometimes.
  9. is that crystal meth?
  10. Ooooh, difficult. I don't know which way to go. Snorky ... everyone else ... Snorky ..... everyone else. Poss leaning towards Snorky's side at the mo'. Not that I don't think the original post is illegitimate either. (work that one out).

  17. Yes PGC but from the library you can rent films for free, unlike Blockbusters which charges. Ditto with the internet cafe. Librarys have long lent music so why not films? It's all reference.

  19. I had a problem with the on demand service for a while, it kept giving me an error code and saying I couldn't access the service blah blah blah. Anyway an engineer came round and I got a new box which has been great, much quicker and no problems now. It's not V+ I don't think, just a new box. My old one was about 5 years old.
  20. Quids, don't be so judgemental, You know nothing about me, where I grew up, how I grew up etc etc so unless you've got a constructive comment to make zip it.
  21. I didn't live here in the height of the Thatcher years *Bob*. I lived in a squat in SE1, quite different. Not that it makes much difference to be honest. What did she say? "There is nos such thing as community", she made damn sure that was the case. I agree changes were badly needed after the '70's I'm just not sure there couldn't have been better methods.
  22. and dragged it into a bigger pile of shit if you ask me *Bob*
