  1. The letter is very good news, it seems to uphold the concerns about the MOL, as well as those raised about the arrangement, density, height etc of the new development, and the future of the Hamlet football club. I am much relieved at this detailed response.
  2. I think that for a second lesson that is pretty hard core! Was it a set number of lessons? I think if it was 5, that would be the fifth. Agree that you should certainly give feedback, it sounds as though he over-estimated your confidence maybe, he shouldn't lose his job but definately re-appraise the training.

I've signed the petition, but reckon now the Queen is involved it might be worth dropping her a line. Apparently she takes a keen interest in all the letters she receives, and it seems fair to let her know how one feels. I'm gonna give it a go anyway... her address is attached in case of interest.

  6. I emailed [email protected] with the ref number 11 August, asking for receipt confirmation in reply, not heard from them. As I'm concerned they're not logging these I have copied the email and resent via the online contact form https://www.southwark.gov.uk/planning-and-building-control/planning-applications/planning-appeals?emailUsContact=1511 again asking for confirmation of receipt.

  8. I get what you're saying Foxy, and the cotton trade is appalling, but it's not a reason not to challenge M&S on excess packaging ? let's not get too bogged down in this. Retailers are slowly responding to consumer demand on reducing packaging, let's keep the pressure on and keep on asking questions including what alternatives are best ? maybe not cotton, maybe there's an invention waiting to happen turning old tshirts into string bags :)

  10. Well I think one thing we could all usefully do is raise this with any outfit we get our next takeaway from, and suggest that it would be a great marketing exercise at the very least if they started thinking creatively around this. At least they could offer a 'supply your own container' service.
  11. That's an idea Annasfield, might ask my regular curry house if they'd do that. Meanwhile agree they have lots of uses (have one full of blackberries as well) but there's a limit... maybe less takeaways is the answer :)
  12. Signed, thanks for the link... so important to preserve these trees, I'm sure it would be easier for the council but that's no excuse.
  13. It's a bit frustrating/worrying that it's impossible to comment at the moment, it currently says "This application is no longer available for viewing. It may have been removed or restricted from public viewing."
