Local school needs funding to continue with counselling service.

Lots of sense talked here, having had experience of this in the family I know how important it is to make counselling easy to access... It's true some young people don't want to use a school counsellor, but they should still be available. However the main question is why all the secrecy?! If it's for a specific school what's the problem with giving that info ? you'd be more likely to hit the target. -

They're keeping very quiet, I left a message with them last week to suggest an update would be helpful ? if only to re-arrange booked visits etc.

Nope... although I think his claim to have misjudged the situation because of his "tendency to be too honourable" was itself rather misjudged. Still it's nice to have a distraction from all the other stuff going on...

Just to say, I participated and can recommend the experience! I was initially a bit concerned about the time it takes but in reality it was much shorter (although that obviously varies from person to person). So if in doubt, give it a go.
