As it happens, and a rarity among West Ham fans, I've a reasonable amount of time for Lampard, he strikes me as petty bright for an English footballer, and apart from the horrible episode after 9/11, tends to act with decorum and dignity. He's given West Ham fans a fair bit of stick but has faced some pretty hideous abuse off them (including when he played for us - "daddy's boy" etc), his dad was unceremoniously sacked by the club with no notice was he ever going to want to carry on playing for us then? Still praying Chelsea finish 5th or 6th ....even if Spuds get the spot,mmmm, maybe At last. It's good to know that I'm not the only one. Whatever Hammers fans say he was one of the best box to box players I've seen at Upton Park. His position wasn't really helped with sacking of his Father and of course his uncle. But of all the clubs Abramovich had to pick, he picked them tossers.

Totally agree JL, however Hoddle did say that Michael Owen" was not a natural goalscorer" and he should've been sacked for that. (WC '98)
