  1. Hello. The cat in the picture is a Bengal. If you manage to trap him tomorrow then I can probably borrow a microchip machine to check for identification and reunite him with his owner. My number is 07956255860. Lisa x
  2. Hi Tiddles, I 've used the household spray a few times over the years, in conjunction with the spot on from the vets ( Frontline spray for young kittens once too as we rescued 14 who were absolutely infested and becoming ill. I'm not sure if there is now a product for really young kittens other than Frontline spray - be great if anyone in the know could add info to this ....Anyway my heart sank as I know it's chemicals, and I don't know the absolute truth about the effects, but I'm not sure they would have survived if I hadn't done so.) Have also seen adult cats and dogs that we've rescued ill from flea infestation and it's often one of the first things that needs attending to before you can see if there are further health issues. You really should remove yourselves, pets and air thoroughly as per the instructions with the spray but it does work and is the only solution I know. I don't have carpets but I do have many pets of my own, and ones that pass through my place with cushions, duvets and beds pretty much scattered where they want them. In the last 14 years, I've probably only needed to use the spray approximately 4 times but I do use Advocate and am a self confessed slightly obsessive, compulsive cleaner ( inherited gene, unable to shed ! ) Hopefully there will be a better solution one day. Have to say this year has definitely been the worst for noticing a sudden increase in the lodger population. Warm Purrs Lisa x
  3. Such a good thread for anyone with pets !'Lodgers' have developed an immunity to certain products over the last number of years. There has been an increase in the last 3 to 4 weeks of the summer, it coincided with the temperature change, generally does and, as much as I'd love to find an alternative, non chemical solution, there simply isn't one that is as fast and effective as Advocate or products on prescription. An infestation can also be a health risk to pets. I mean infestation left untreated. They procreate in armies, it really is worth a trip to the vet if you are under siege. Best Purr Lisa x
  4. So very sorry to hear this terribly sad news. Please inform the park warden, Southwark dog warden, the RSPCA and the police. A record of the incident is vital for their records for now and the future. Lisa x
  5. great news MrsMa ...she'll be home for tea:))
  6. sorry, can't help you there - they just don't go missing anymore x
  7. Then I'd better not mention the stray donkey in my bathroom .....
  8. Hey Frankito - there's a lost goat in my garden too - could you squeeze him in ? Only kidding. Will keep you posted:)) x
  9. The kitten found on Marmora Rd is around 4 months old and a little chap - if anyone has lost a kitten that fits this description please call me on 07956 255860. Best Purr Lisa x ( hola Frankito )
  10. Sent text round to all I know and also had a round robin from lovely Karen ( the fab dog groomer ! ) - so all her clients will know too. Has Zafi already gone to Batteresea ? xxx
  11. Have added a post in the wanted section entitled ' hopefully useful information for lost/found pets ' - it should help people cover all bases quickly if a cat or dog goes missing as it contains all the numbers to call. ( Do add more if you know any others ) Cats, in particular at this time of year, often start to wander further afield as they uncurl from Winter x
  12. Hi Anna, Give me a call if you like ( 07956 255860 ) - my name is Lisa and I run bowwowmiaow. If we can establish that he is definately homeless; then I'm happy to help track him down, neuter and rehome him - if it would be beneficial all round. Would be good to talk through how feral the fella is, or has become, as this will give me some idea of the way forward. Warm Purrs Lisa
  13. laughin'...guess the flatmates want a 40kg bag dropping round then ? ;-)
