Number 2 and anxiety in 3yr old boy
Sunlover00 replied to midivydale's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Also recommend the book everybody poos. It really helped my daughter realise it's normal. Also I tried putting an egg timer on that she had to sit on loo for and we would play games to pass the time whilst she was on the loo. -
Hi I'm putting together a nanny contract and would like to include the use of the family car but I have no idea on what is standard/normal for the employer to pay for e.g. excess charges for any ins claim, penalty charges, damage etc. Does anyone have an agreement already in place with a nanny which you're able to share with me? Pls PM me if easier. thanks in advance

Hi Ive been tasked with sorting out games for a hen weekend and have done the usual google but thought id ask on here if anyoe has any fun suggestions to throw into the mix? I dont have a lot of time because its this coming weekend so anything that takes very little prep would be perfect. So far I have the Mr/Mrs quiz, who knows the bride best quiz, best bridal dress using loo roll etc thanks !

It's already been stated if i recall correctly that charter will consult re admissions at a later date so I presume there will be a proper forum to raise concerns etc. What else would you like see happen now barely a week since the decision?

Artifical lawn with a dog and children!? Would you?
Sunlover00 replied to Sarie's topic in The Family Room Discussion
There's quite a few installation videos available on you tube also that grono website offers an installation video too. The important thing is to level the ground and lay a membrane to prevent weeds from growing through then layer of sand then nail the artificial grass down. By no means is our lawn laid perfectly but i think it looks fine and looks more realistic with the odd bump in it (that's what I told myself at the time anyway!) -

Sunlover00 replied to Sarie's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Yes - we put down eazylawn for the same reason - dog was trashing real lawn and dragging in mud during winter. It's pricey but after 3 years still looks new. We laid it ourselves which was pretty easy -
Admin isn't greatest but i cant fault the care and attention my daughter gets. She's been attending the nursery for 2 years and loves it.

No sadly, only weekends work for us. -
Saturday swimming lessons - camberwell leisure centre
Sunlover00 replied to Sunlover00's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Thx both - I've tried peckham pulse but all their sat lessons are booked up and they don't offer anything on a Sunday unfortunately. Beckenham is probably a bit too far for us. -
Hi Ive been looking for weekend swimming lessons for my 3.5 year old daughter and although Camberwell leisure centre offer them on Sat in their training pool they don't have the numbers required to run the 1pm class. Thought I'd post this on here should there be any other interested folk to bump up the numbers. The training pool is heated and is shallow enough for little ones to stand in.

Hi My other half has been in desperate need for some new cufflinks and every birthday, anniversary etx he's been asking for them but I've never been able to find any decent ones. Can anyone recommend where to buy decent cufflinks up to ?80-100? I think I've always avoided buying them because I have no idea on what constitutes as 'nice' cufflinks (im the same with ties!). He works with lots of clients and consults a lot - would something like plane or car shaped cufflinks be too novelty / tacky looking? Been looking at Paul Smith - are these OTT? I understand it's personal preference but any constructive advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Ok thx for that. Gives me an idea of how much. Thanks!

Thinking of giving my cleaner a bonus for xmas but have no idea how much to give. I presume most cleaners would appreciate money rather than a gift so could anyone suggest what might be a reasonable amount to give? My cleaner comes every week for 3 hrs and charges ?10. Have only been using her for 3 months or so. Thanks

Can highly recommend forest hill methodist centre and church

I feel for you - a unsettled baby is bad enough but the feeling of helplessness is even worse! My daughter used to cry for 4-5 hrs but it usually happened at same time of day. Now I realised it was probably down to not getting enough sleep during the day so was absolutely shattered at end of day. Presume you have tried swaddling and white noise to help settle bb? Also found introducing a comforter helped my daughter settle herself and when she leant to suck her own fingers this was also a turning point. We attended a sleep seminar from Nicola at sleep solutions and got some tips on what to expect from newborn sleep cycles - if you do a search you might find she still runs these seminars. I think I may have some of the notes still so happy to email them to you also.

Baby Carrier comparison request: Baby Bjorn v Ergobaby
Sunlover00 replied to Amanda1979's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Just bought the ergo 360 carrier - not yet tried it but I'm hopeful it'll be comfy for me and bb. Anyone tried this yet? Does the manduca have a front facing carrying option? -
My other half asked - drilling until they break concrete then the rest by hand. Yay it sounds like they are done now with noisy work

Any idea when they will stop? It's right outside my window and it's frigging annoying

Someone recommended to me GDND for ballet classes for my toddler and she's been going for a couple of months now. She adores miss dani's classes and the cost is very reasonable. I don't have a link but a search of GDND should bring it up

Trying to be organised and start planning what gift(s) to get for my daughter nursery. Anyone have any insights on what might go down well?? I'm guessing they might get quite a few chocs and bics generally so hoping to do something a bit different. Any ideas welcome! Thanks

3.30am Crawthew Grove - shouting man?
Sunlover00 replied to Treeviews's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
We called the police and they picked him up. Besides the fact he was wearing only his underwear, he was climbing on cars and started to smack them with objects. He was obviously injured from punching lamp posts etc and was really rather scary with his screaming. This morning I had a quick look at the cars he was on top of and hitting and the marks seem superficial but if there's been any damage would suggest contacting the police. We gave our contact details to them should you need witnesses etc
