& here is mummy of the two kittens, Cleo (Cleopatra). They are all loving this weather. http://i40.tinypic.com/1629ttg.png I've just come in from playing with the kittens, as Cleo sun bakes.

NOISY birds on Glengarry Rd/East Dulwich Rd
thexwinglessxbird replied to cab's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
There is, what appears to be, a chicken hut a couple of doors down from me. Heard the weirdest noises today. I really couldn't make out what animal it was. -
Here are my little babies. They were a tease to get inside tonight - but now they are fast asleep. http://i41.tinypic.com/349dkj6.png

Whilst I laugh at the situation & agree, I think it is lovely that old folk are managing to & want to look after themselves. I think it is essential for old people to be getting some exercise.... still, I haven't actually seen this for my own eyes.

woman asking for money door to door

^ This is good to know. If people spoke up a little more/took their ranting further than the East Dulwich forum, than this wouldn't be going on (for much longer). I can't believe how many people have just let her get away with it. -

The majority do not live in East Dulwich. This can be a little frustrating when you look into the For Sale section & find out that you need to take atleast two long bus rides to pick it up. This is also an East Dulwich forum that clearly states 'Sell and give away your articles locally'. Fair enough, Peckham is just a short walk away, but Brixton, Lewisham, ...? Most times you will not know this until you arrange to pick it up. ?!?!!?... irrational rage. -
The co-op IS awful there's really no point in responding to my post because it's a matter of opinion & I'll stick to it. If you like s*** meat, good for you. Prices have gone up & you get less for what you pay for. If you're looking for offers? Sainsburys, Morrisons or Iceland.

Vandalised trees on G'rich Road - reported
thexwinglessxbird replied to Nero's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
That is very sad to hear. Well done Nero for reporting this. If anyone enounters or witnesses abuse or vandalism report it straight away. Goodrich road needs to be kept a close eye on. -
If question was 'where is the best place to live in Peckham' then I'd probably say Bellenden Rd, but since Bellenden Rd is not ED, I find it irrelevent. Anywhere off Lordship Lane/North Cross is great. It is not noisy, it is lovely & peaceful & bars/cafes/grocery stores are just a minutes walk away.

Lol. That's really annoying. We are also frustrated with our next door neighbour (perhaps we should be slightly worried) that they spend far too much time cluttering about with their bins! All day & all night. Clearly wife does not work (but she can't even do her own shopping either?) We're learning to live with it & we just laugh.

I'm wondering if owner of a lovely ginger & white female cat (pink collar) is a member of the East Dulwich forum? This very friendly cat appears at our lounge & kitchen french doors every night - it's sort of coming back to see my kittens & their mum? My kittens get along with her & they play through the glass with eachother - y'know, pawing & pouncing - clearly unthreatened..

Youths selling overpriced dishcloths door-to-door
thexwinglessxbird replied to kford's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
''Wouldn't report the dishcloth people though unless I actually felt threatened by them or felt theywere involved in some criminal activity ratherthan just selling overpriced tat.'' Alot of people have felt threatened (& have actually been threatened). That's the only reason I've brought it up. -

thexwinglessxbird replied to kford's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
instead of you're use of 'their' instead of 'They're'? I actually believe that nobody has bothered to report this (god knows I'm the only one in the North Cross Road or top of Barry Road area who will complain about noise polution.) I want whatever the rest of the community has which keeps them so freakishly quiet & care-free. Report these guys to the police at once.... They haven't come for me yet. -
Dodgy man follows commuter
thexwinglessxbird replied to MungoJerrysBeard77's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hi Mungo, ekyv. I'm glad to hear you both managed to get away safely. This is extremely frightening to hear as guy is obviously persistant & doesn't seem to mind whether he gets caught out in broad daylight! I hope nobody else gets to experience this. Stay safe. -
Pirate, how awful!! You poor thing. For years I have cut through this park, mainly at night & can't help but always point out about the COMPLETE lack of lighting. We really must complain about this. It wouldn't hurt the environment to have a couple of solar energy lights down this path. It's rediculous that it hasn't already been thought up or done. It screams danger.

ED Nature Watch
thexwinglessxbird replied to Peckhamgatecrasher's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Our garden is filled with blue tits every morning & throughout the day. Lovely red robins too. I was rather filled with joy to see them return a couple of weeks ago & ever since - This weather has been harsh but happy to see that it hasn't effected them. I think they are a pair & together were building a nest in the Autumn. One particular is always around to watch me gardening. I leave suet, nuts & fruit out for them.
