  1. I'm sorry, Is it?... Or is it just 'irrational rage'. Some drivers are rude. I wouldn't knock somebody if they literally dented a car for almost running somebody over. What's the rush? They have a car - can't they wait a couple of seconds? Sue, you clearly don't know me.
  2. Good on you, Sophiesofa! Wack it hard & leave a dent (6) I hate that too. Esecially when cyclists do this, like rules do not apply to them.
  3. Clapham really doesn't suprise me. I got off the bus by the station & within 10 minutes a womans bag was snatched infront of my eyes. On my second visit, a man was jumped on by police in roughly the same place, outside the station. Weird... I'm normally with a huge crowed of people though when I'm in Clapham.

Not all > but certainly many-in my personal opinion. Don't forget seriously creepy & dangerous. I avoid this area like a plague. Attracts too many loose screws.
  5. You are as old as you feel, Ladymuck & you certainly don't look it, so you shouldn't be feeling it. People snuff it at all ages, without accomplishing anything. It is not too late. Rather than worry, start thinking about what you would like to achieve (make a list!) & stick with it. We are like 8 weeks? into the new year. There is no better time than to start now & by 2011 you can feel great!
  6. ''...the packaging on a certain brand of crisps. When will 'they' learn that its just not right to put cheese & onion in a blue bag or salt n' vinegar in a green one. Grrr.....'' Don't they all do that these days? I could have sworn that when I was younger, salt n' vinegar came in blue bags, cheese & onion came in green. It makes sense. I'm sure I started picking up & purchasing the wrong ones at some point. I also hate that people forget this is an EAST DULWICH forum. Telling me that there is a really great hairdressers in LEWISHAM is completely pointless to me. Does anybody travel that far by bus just to get their hair trimmed? When kids are running up & down being loud/ causing a mess/a scene & the parents who spend so much time shouting 'oh stop it, Timothy! Sit down Timothy!' rather than grabbing them by the scruff of their necks & making them do exactly that. It causes a bigger scene, a bigger nuisance, a louder noise. Especially on the first floor landing of The Surgery (The Gardens) where people are actually working next door.
  7. I just can't believe so many people have fallen for this scam (okay, you are all obviously very kind people, unfortunately that can also lead to credulousness). This also happened at The Surgery (where my mum works) a couple of years ago, only this time it was a white guy, nothing about him stood out, he just seemed 'normal' with I guess a South East London accent. He knocked on the window of The Surgies reception room window (from outside), although my mum (who is very precautious) tried to stop her friend, still gave him ?5 anyway. He was very persistent, with the same car excuse. I'd spread the word to everyone we know, so nobody else falls into this trap again. I can't believe it's been going on for soo long! & bigbluess - Shocking!! =O
  8. It was Binnesters. I remember going there as a kid on the weekends. It was a lovely toyshop.
  9. I take it they wont be going ahead, that is, if our opinions & votes count for anything.
  10. I have been kicked out of my own bed before... by a kitten! I just couldn't bring myself to move & disturb him. He looked so comfortable. :-$
  11. Unless you have the money to burn, I wouldn't bother. Beside, ?189 (PLUS VAT)?? For what exactly?? Someone's having a laugh. There are people out there who send out scruffy CV's via email & somehow manage to get a job. Ask a friend for help if you have to, or perhaps someone can volunteer, but I wouldn't spend money on it.

  13. Alexander McQueen 3 The fashion world has lost something truely amazing. R.I.P. Favorite designer of all time.
  14. Nailed it. I had to live in Hansler Road for a short period of time =[
  15. There are quite alot of chavs living on & off Hansler Rd. I'm really not suprised.
  16. Oh please, jb1000 is not a wind-up merchant. One post & everybody decides to spit their dummies out. Honestly. The way I see it, jb1000 is merely expression their own opinion. If there's anything I like & appreciate about this forum is how you all broaden my views with your different perspectives - How you can all see many sides to a situation. I am only assuming that jb1000 did not mean to offend the many responsible dog owners, but was thinking of those who are not. So if irresponsible owners will not follow the law, they should have their space taken away from them. [Don't hurt me.]
  17. Well I hope it'll look good, that's all I can say. It just seems so sad to think of beautiful original victorian buidlings being wiped out. I live just off Upland Rd, close to where this is happening, but rarely visit Barry Rd unless I'm catching a bus, there I can see the work taking place. I don't know what it's looking like now...

If they are not using the excuse that they 'had a bad day'.
  19. I don't know why people are so rude on these forums, but I'd like to see them try that with me in person. I don't think they'd bother with half the remarks they feel necessary to imply here.
