  1. Unfortunate in some cases, I like to look for the best in people before getting, it this case, nastily sceptical. I won't apologize for that. Obviously I haven't been around these forums long enough to witness this... & why on earth would someone go through the trouble of saying such things? Sadly I missed the good stuff. I don't know what was said for the thread to be closed...

Did she actually say she lost/forggotten her ?100 or did you just approach a random, worried looking woman & pretty much just offered it to her? :-S

Thank you! :) & Thank you, Annaj for taking that out of context. :)) Lewishamman, you have no reason to apologize to anyone on this forum. If people have trust issues, than that's their problem. Do not feel that you need to prove anything. If you believe that they are the same people who are trashing your garden with used condoms, then they should be confronted. That's just disgusting & unexceptable. If you are worried that police will pass on your details (like I said, they shouldn't be doing that anyway) then let them know beforehand.
  5. SeanMacGabhann Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- So your problem is... Did you not read my post? So what if you guys have made up in this thread - it will happen again in another. It always does. & No, I am not mentioning any names. What has happend, has happened. It upsets me because it is the same people who continously do it to others. I can't help coming across these people, because they are regular posters. Anyhoo! I couldn't help but putting my opinion in there before I moved on. I don't want to continue or cause any negativity. I'm sorry, that wasn't my intention. Oh, & on a side note to my previous post: Lewishamman, police shouldn't give out your information, so you should be okay. Infact, I think you can anonymously call.
  6. The Dulwich Tandoori resturant used to serve gorgeous food. I don't know if the owners or food has changed since, but if it hasn't, I would definetly recommend this place. My mother used to order takeaways from there for lunch. I loved it. The waiters used to give me After Eight mints. I recall them being nice people
  7. Helena, it is a disgusting problem on this forum that should be raised, so thank you. Personally, I was starting to believe that it wasn't seniors who were being attacked, but more the young & vulnerable. I am only in my teens & I get the impression that this forum holds a group of old, nasty, egotistical people. The behaviour is odd & perhaps I'm too young to understand their "jokes". Frail or not. If the situation bothers you, you have every right to report it, depsite what others may think. ;-)
  8. If either are interested in art, there is the Dulwich Picture Gallery...? *shrugglez*
  9. I wish they'd put the crossing back on Crystal Palace Rd. I hate that bit. Or move the one they already have on Barry Rd. Lordship Lane is just excessive.
  10. I remember the library computers very being very frustrating. Really slow & time runs out quick. I actually don't think the video shop is pricey; You get a lot of time, perhaps too much time.
  11. I don't think this would help my neighbours, who have a big family car but never seem to go out to get their own shopping! My mum was never so lazy when she had to put up with me & my brother. =/ I'd love to know if there are any takeaway services available out there. I was starving last night =[
  12. sophiesofa, I'm gonna go with your assumption. It sounds far more realistic than what I had in mine... perhaps I was being a little too dramatic! This sort of thing tends to happen alot.
  13. We had a toad in our back garden for days, but it's disappeared now. I didn't even get to see it - only my mum!
  14. Yes, I don't understand, please be more specific? I'm getting the impression that you opened the door to them & they forcefully let themselves into your house, or broke in whilst you were at home - There is no other logical explaination!
  15. My brother would give him what for. lol. He better not try it here.
  16. Aawww, that's so very sad to hear. I can't imagine losing my bunny. I had her from the day I was born & for 19 years now! My mom said that she did get lost once or twice but she went back as soon as she noticed & luckily, there is was. Have you tried looking absolutely everywhere you went & asked around? Perhaps the lost property. Maybe somebody kind enough has handed it in.
  17. I love Radiohead. The Rolling Stones - Under My Thumb
  18. Asset Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > My cats are out with the foxes every night and > have never come to any harm. That's not to say that they wont. Just read suzisoo's post. But I really hope they wont. Another thing that bothers me as that I used to live next door to a cat owner & her cat crying outside the door used to drive me nuts. I felt like taking the cat in as my own. Putting danger aside, Some cats just do not like to be kept outside all night. As for Foxtons: Foxtons is a waste of space. I really wish they hadn't put that on Lordship Lane. A decent little supermarket would have been better. Something but not that.
  19. Funny enough, alot of trouble makers come from that place/hanging about outside. Most of them don't seem like decent people at all. Have witnessed police stopping by outside many, many times.
  20. One of my cats was very lucky to survive after she had a huge chunk taken out of her side - & she was a very small cat. I would advice owners to keep their cats in at night - atleast not to lock them out completely. It's not very safe, no.
  21. Lol. Ironically, it has been freakishly quiet today... Nothing happened on Hindmans Rd, but I was aware that Ulverscroft were having a lunch, which I saw no sign of.

QUARTER PAST NINE ON A THURSDAY > MORNING, JUST OUTSIDE MY FRONT DOOR? that is > b.o.l.d. Lol!! That is exactly what I wanted to say. How stupid are these guys?! Shocked?! ... REALLY?!! A friend of ours was just broken into the night before you too. I'm glad to hear you caught the bastard before anything was stolen. I pass alot of houses where alot of people seem to put their front rooms on display, & if they were broken into, I hope they wouldn't be suprised; it's as though they are asking for it! I think people really need to question how secure their property is & decrease their chances of this happening.
