Fireworks tonight (Sunday)
thexwinglessxbird replied to flapjackdavey's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I wasn't implying that anyone said or meant anything, Sue :-$ I just personally find it disrespecful as some people do sleep around this time. I for one would not be able to sleep if there were fireworks shooting off. & as for the party & the noise coming from this house on Barry Rd, that was a very bad day for me, I was ill & the noise was causing panic attacks. I couldn't sleep. But I didn't report it. -
Fireworks tonight (Sunday)

Some people are just so inconsiderate. Whenever I hear fireworks it's always been around 10pm. But most annoyingly, a huge birthday party that went on about 2 weeks ago on Barry Rd, up until around 4am. (If this was your party - I will be reporting you next time!) -

I have absolutely no idea, but I have been hearing it for the past couple days & have been curious. -

Does it matter how many? It doesn't make it okay, Trinity. People were still killed. -

Urgh. My mum almost got run over by some big grown Jamaican guy for cycling on the pavement at the bottom of Barry Road. The most annoying part is how the pavement was completely clear but he cycled towards my mum on the same side, coming so close she almost got run over - the idiot had no intention of minding where he was going but still apologized. Grr! My mum wants to report this guy, but there's no way of distinguishing him, other than that he was a black Jamaican fully-grown man dressed head-to-toe in white. I remember my little brother, in his early stages of walking, always getting run over my Cyclists on the pavement! It really is dangerous... especially when there are toddlers about. -

The East Dulwich Hunt..... (foxes)
thexwinglessxbird replied to hintza's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
We are haiving more of a problem with squirels digging up our back lawn & eating our robins food. Sure, it's annoying to hear the foxes screaming through the evening & night... sometimes during the day (I think we have a family of them living down the back of our garden) but it's not that annoying. -
Wow. First time I'm hearing about this... Can anybody tell us where we can get one of these & what shops can it be used in?

Cash to make East Dulwich safer?
thexwinglessxbird replied to Vik's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
My brother gets mugged every day. Last night chased by three black boys screaming ''Get him! Get his bike!''. That is my evidence of ED being full of crime & getting worse. Generally speaking, the stabbing that happened on LL, people on this forum who have been jumped & robbed of their ipods & phones... Just saying, you've gotta be pretty stupid if you need convincing that ED is in fact getting worse. If you bothered to get out more, you'd probably find sooner or later you'll be one of the victims. -
You phoned East Dulwich Library & they couldn't tell you the opening times because they didn't know? That's weird.

PET section on forum - what do people think?
thexwinglessxbird replied to TarahC's topic in The Lounge
There are alot of animal threads on the forum. Either about adoption, lost, or people wanting advice on their pets. I do think because of this, there should be a whole forum dedicated to it. I do support you, TaraC & like panda boy, I support your good work. I've always wanted to look after animals, but can't fit this into my busy life style & really do need the ??? as I'm a student. I will be looking into fostering though! :) -
Does the 37 not run on a sunday?
thexwinglessxbird replied to Strawbs's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
An alternative root would be to take the 185 to the Oval & then the 155 to Clapham. I take the 37 to & back from Clapham on Sundays, but the 37 bus seems to take forever. I don't understand this, as when I am in Clapham, the 37 bus appears regularly. -
Foxtons: Turn the lights out!
thexwinglessxbird replied to bigblue99's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
^ Hahaha! Nice!! It is a useless waste of space, but I wouldn't want to complain about just the one Foxtons. Sure, we can go in an persuade them to turn off some of their lights, but think about all the other Foxtons out there that are doing exactly the same! We need to make them all aware & stop them. Good point. Thank you for bringing this up! I can't believe this hadn't crossed my mind. -

This also happened to me a few months ago. Somebody had ordered earings from QVC under my details. My address. I cannot understand why somebody would do this, as the earings would have come to me...?!

Interesting topic. I've always liked to hear peoples opinions on this one... I'm young & I've always thought of tattoos as being tacky. Many people my age get tattoos (It's becoming a thing to get for your 16th birthday :-S), "mum" or "dad" printed on some part of your body. - Unique. That I'd definetly call a chav stamp...... After bashing the idea of getting tattoo'd, I now want to get one of my own.
