Agree with snorky. Maybe the wannabe agitators should look at other premises first. I still cant believe that HSBC have been allowed to stay here so long without grief. I would have thought that many Grauniad reading EDers would be delighted to close it down and instead open a 14th century "local" banking concern with hay on the floor where non payment of overdraft fee results in flogging on Goose Green. Certainly beats this efficient capitalist nonsense that we have to endure every day. Come on agitators, do a proper job or give up. This is just embarrasing.

Mrs Jonboy is from Bolton. -
I think I still have my Griffin Savers bag from when i joined up with Midland Bank around 25 years ago. If anyone wants to use that they're more than welcome - very retro and environmentally sound as it has already been manufactured.

There is another clothes shop for gents - on the way to the station. Usefully they also do money transfer if you decide to kill 2 birds with one stone. Only popped in once for about 10 secs though. ANyone else been in properly? -
Ultraconsultancy, It's taps. Both kitchen and bathroom varieties. Although come to think of it, small pieces of spanish peasant food are marked up highly too.

Brilliant restaurants in London - recommendations wanted
Jonboy replied to Mark's topic in The Lounge
Try Hakkasan, michelin starred chinese but ultra informal - really great atmosphere, off Tott Ct Rd Wolseley a favourite also The Harvester on LL is always good if you like the innovation of a germ ridden salad cart -
I'm not surprised someone wants to open a card shop, they're probably not being paid enough at UBS or Credit Suisse. In a recent survey conducted by me, all cards in Northcross road emporiums cost ?7.50. Cost Breakdown: ?0.10 Materials, ie a small piece of thin card ?0.20 Labour ?0.05 Envelope Cost ?0.05 Supply Chain Total Cost ?0.40 Total Gross Margin 94.66% Cards and taps, the 2 highest margin products around. Just dont get me started on taps.

East Dulwich Forum under attack! (mention on the SE5 Forum)
Jonboy replied to Bellenden Belle's topic in The Lounge
I think its high time that ED had its own standing army and brought in a Lebensraum policy. A pre-emptive strike is really the only option open to us if we're to resist this type of e-bullying. Meet tonight at the roundabout with your torches and pitchforks - we march on SE5 at midnight. -
I believe there was a hideous problem involving a blow dryer, a swivel chair and a pair of clippers. The salon are trying to cover it up but Tim had to get away before the police became involved - it counts as a major incident. This also links in with the low flying helicopter that has just been posted.

is there a right side of Peckham then?

Cheers guys. The threads confirmed my suspicions - I think I'm too arriviste and incomer-ish to enjoy it unless they tidy it up a bit. Maybe one day when I'm braver.

On the subject of the library end of LL, can anyone tell me if the weirdo restaurant next to the undertakers is safe to go in? It looks as though they last got fresh food in the 1970s and could do with some paintwork?? Can't remember what its called and have no energy to walk round the corner and check, but any comments welcomed.....
