  1. Uplands and the Plough. Unbeatable. On a similar note, reminds me of a top quote: "There are 2 things, the making of which you don't want to know about. Laws and sausages."
  2. There was a cat lurking at the top of CPR the other day, near the caff, corner of LL. It looked like the photo but I'm sure didn't have a collar. Just before you get to the caff there is a "track" on the left leading down to the back of the houses, it was meandering down there... Hope that helps... best of luck
  3. I had anticipated big, safe, white cotton M&S numbers. Oh well.
  4. I thought this lot might find the marketing budget to sponsor us. http://www.mamaway.co.uk/ShopStyle/rgcj3/default.asp

do you really need to book?
  6. i think she'd have eaten the straw and probably the hutch as well though.
  7. *bob* - it was far more likely to have been gypsies that did this. I've always found cobblers to be ok.
  8. I'd had a think about audi - strong middle class affiliation (yet discreet) with good safety for nippers etc. Plus you see dozens of them here.
  9. I think we've all done it Jamie.
  10. Any size company, any budget, based anywhere. I was thinking recently as to which brand EDers have most affiliation, and therefore who might want to sponsor us.
  11. Hypothetical obviously, but if a corporation were to sponsor East Dulwich, who would be best suited? First to say Foxtons gets a poke in the eye.
  12. James, I think he just kicked your arse.
  13. Top Fun and well done Domitianus. As a sport, stirring up the right-on and PC EDers is right up there with fox hunting. And you dont even have to leave your desk.
  14. If i lived upstairs and had to put up with the air-con units, I'd be sorely tempted to accidentally leave all the taps running with the plugs in as I went out for the day.
  15. to be frank, its a dump. My cat could make a better fist of running the place, and he's insane.
  16. On a similar subject (Apollo), does anyone get static electricity shocks from their door handle, or is it just me? Its not a great way to start your browsing experience, then when you get inside, the place stinks of fags.
  17. Apart from debating about tits in the room next door, there are few better ways to spend a sunny afternoon than in St James Park admiring the "scenery" walking by.
  18. Its good all this, a bit like the Oxford Union. No doubt we will see some of the debaters from here fasttrack their way into politics - they may even be head hunted by the major parties. Or not. That said, I dont know anywhere else on a Monday afternoon that has such a good debate on breasts going on so fair play all round.
  19. I tend to call it Lordship Lane, it saves an awful lot of confusion.

Christ. The antagonism. Although i dont think its helped by the fact that Louisa actually IS the redoubtable Margaret of Eric and Margaret fame. "Margerat? MARGERAT! Gentleman here wants to know if we've got anything made from real food?" etc etc Little Britain
  21. The guy in the post office said retail units underneath, flats on top. Mind you, that was a while ago
  22. I'm an incomer - but wish I wasn't. We had to pay a small fortune to buy here 18 months ago although I understand that "locals" were able to buy a 3 bed house for under ?2.70 in days gone by. If I were sitting on a house with that much equity in it I'd be laughing at incomers, not getting angry with them.
  23. Wow, i was right! Is there some sort of ED award that i should get?
  24. I read an article recently about companies assessing opinions in chat-rooms and forums by posting threads which encourage debate. They then analyse the responses, weigh them against the socio-economic index for that area and hey-presto, a new government policy is born (or not). Surely I'm not the only one to think that JennyUKs post is one of these? Does anyone who is bright enough to use a on-line chatroom really still think that "paper is paper"?? I think I can hear the policy wonks creating a new law as we speak. Also it aint bad advertising for Moltex - free, straight to the consumer, heavily targeted (ED=Nappy Valley). Beware, The friendly forum has been taken over by product placement groups.
