  1. Still waiting for that letter from your mother to start your deprogramming treatment Sephiroth.
  2. J.a and Sephiroth No sane person would give two damns whether a chlorinated chicken left Belfast and arrived in Monaghan or Co Cavan, especially as it might be more hygienic than salmonella infected E.U. standard fayre. But the E.U. (algorithms on legs therefore not sane) will take issue and insist on a border. Therefore EU?s fault. What?s difficult to grasp about that?
  3. As you well know, given that I?ve tried to explain it to you numerous times, the only body that would impose a border there is the E.U. to protect its taxes - ad infinitum I?m sorry Sephiroth, you just can?t grasp that, and I cannot make it any easier for you
  4. ... The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (Nice) wants all alcohol consumed by expectant mothers recorded, regardless of whether they consent. This would include women who have a drink before knowing that they are pregnant... https://www.thetimes.co.uk/edition/news/single-drink-in-pregnancy-will-be-noted-on-babys-file-svk5snk98 Is there no end to this nonsense?
  5. ... In other words, Britain has to either institute an internal border or try to avoid one altogether by staying tied to EU rules in perpetuity, even after it has left the bloc... Tom McTague in The Atlantic... Strange. When I mention the E.U. trying to tie us to its rules in perpetuity (above) the usual suspects full of indignation all pooh-poohed the very idea. However when a lad from County Durham who uses a curious mix of British/America spelling states the bleeding obvious you?re all swooning. Pass the sick bag ...
  6. There?s talk of possible life on Venus. If confirmed God help ?em. There?ll be an E.U. delegation trying to charge them billions a year and telling them what do.
  7. Good post. You said ...? You won and then rammed it down the losers throats like a street fighter...? By this do you mean Brexiters generally or me individually? If I did this I apologise to all concerned. I only intended to respond to what I considered unfair comments.

You're a welcomed new kid on the block and you?re jumping to conclusions. I was referring to many posts that have been made on this subject pre-referendum and post referendum under the general heading of Brexit. It?s on here somewhere. The point I was making is don?t be fooled by Sephiroth?s posts. You?d be horrified at how badly Brexiters have been treated. But you can make your own mind up about.
  9. All sorts of reasons. British people who can claim Irish ancestry can have the best of both worlds. Independent Britain and unfettered access to the EU. Especially useful if you have a second home/holiday home abroad or wish to work in the EU I would have thought.
  10. Sorry folks, had to break off for last night of the proms. Not an EU flag to be seen this year. Maybe the people who handed out free EU flags outside the Royal Albert Hall in former years are all on furlough now, happy to take the UK shilling. There must be warehouses full of EU flags somewhere. Anyway, where were we?
  11. You?ve missed several hundreds posts j.a.. You?ve got a lot to catch up on.
  12. Sephiroth Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > > I had been renting for years in London before > moving here > Re: Buy to let mortgages and renting flats for income - anyone got experience of this? Posted by Sephiroth September 03, 07:27PM ...I have been a landlord. I let my flat whilst I rented a house in a interim position. We need landlords and we need rental property. But rather than hold on to my flat and expect tenants to pay me ever more money, I sold the place... My point is you and your family have done well out of this country and good luck to you. But to consistently try to put the country down, Eu good, UK bad is a bit silly don?t you think
  13. Well put it like this. This country that you have spent six years trashing has enabled you to make a handsome sum on your property and move out to West Sussex, has educated your children, looked after their health and is currently paying a large part of the wages of millions of furloughed workers who would otherwise be destitute and homeless. Not bad for a country ?With its arse hanging out? as you would have it.
  14. I?ve said this before Sephiroth but the EU you?ve tried so valiantly to defend for the past six years doesn?t exist. The world has changed. Every country or group of nations faces an uncertain future, especially now, post Covid. Yes, I admit I do make a nuisance of myself popping Remainers? self-righteous notions of being the ones with all the correct answers but you?re up for it. One thing I?m certain of, whatever outcome we arrive at a good number of people will be unhappy.
  15. Thank you for your kind offer to let me play with you Sephiroth. Not many parents let me play with their EU-indoctrinated offspring in case I de-programme them. A letter from your parents saying it will be okay will do though.
  16. Shakes head in disbelief of my obsequious fellows
  17. Wait for the fudge Sephiroth. We?ll be exporting chlorinated chickens to the EU and our European cousins will be licking their lips before you can say the Maastricht Treaty.
  18. If, but, maybe, could have, should have etc We are where we are. It?s time to bang heads together and get both parties negotiating. Both sides want a deal but both parties agree a no-deal is better than a bad deal.
  19. J.a I refer you to BJ?s article in The Telegraph today. He explains why he wishes to amend the WA. That should answer your question.
  20. No point in going over old ground. Let?s see how the negotiations progress now that they?ve been reinvigorated.
  21. Calm Sephiroth, calm. Last time I looked the negotiations were still going on. The EU will come up with its usual fudge.
  22. A big subject Sephiroth that would require its own thread. However, rather than tackling it from ?Sephiroth is unhappy with the majority vote result therefore it is undemocratic? May I suggest you start with ?Plato made simple? or ?Plato for idiots? or some such beginners introductions to the subject.
  23. Interesting theory
  24. Where did your rant about Dom come from then? Did someone mention him earlier?
  25. Did you misread that last post? - DOA not DOM.
