    Pancakes

To cover all bases topping wise you will have to buy some cinamon, sugar, lemon juice, golden syrup, maple syrup, nutella, peanut butter, blueberries, strawberries, clotted cream, honey, ice cream, cr?me fra?che, chives, salmon, cheese, and whatever other toppings people can think up.

    Pancakes

Just buy a bottle or two of pancake mix from Sainsbury?s. Simple. You can eve decant it into a mixing bowl before the people arrive so it looks like you made it yourself.

    Lent

The other day I decided to give up drinking for lent. Except of course on days when I already had social engagements booked before I decided to give up drinking for lent. Turns out I have something on every weekend for the next 6 weeks so I should be ok.
  4. Spelling, you doubt my spelling gives my readers much confidence.
  5. Bless you again. Are you alergic to fur or summing?
  6. Bless you.
  7. ah hah! The feral dog who gets to piss on the vicar's leg at his own funeral.
  8. Anyone who can actually play cricket will be handy too. I think we established last year that as this is the CPT cricket team the criteria for membership are something along the lines of, drink in the CPT/have ever had a drink in the CTP/Have ever had a drink in a pub of any description/ have ever had a drink of any sort/have walked past the CPT or any other pub.
  9. ...on someone's throat.
  10. I'm stumped on the song name though. Is it cheating if I scroll through my ipod to find it?
  11. That's the doors isn't it Jaybee?

  14. Tuesday morning and you scuttle out of Sainsbury?s head down when you see him, drinking coffee with the other officers. Your heart races, you and mum haven?t spoken to him since he left for university leaving you both behind like dead memories. (Apologies for messing with your plot there Ted, I couldn?t resist.)

  16. Considering some of the drivel lately Grumpyoldman?s first post was actually quite well thought out and observant. Perhaps nostalgic but that is common to most of us and I dare say I will have similar sentiments about my home town in 50 years time. In a proper response which justifies it (yesterday I was too exasperated to do this) I would point out that when you say; ?When I moved to the area we lived in a multi racial area where people were willing to talk to each other regardless of class or colour. We could walk down Lordship lane and talk to people and purchase goods of a vast variety of nature. We could happily shop in Peckham?? All these things are still true. Well at least they are for me and the people I know. And as for the pubs, most of them are still just pubs. Wallpaper and furnishings change (have always changed and will always change) but they are still pubs, open to all and they attract a wide range of different people. Just like anywhere in London. But you are totally right in saying that people just using this forum to have a moan and/or a go at other people is very tedious indeed. Hope to hear more from you.
  17. Very poignant post Allfornun and I share much of your sentiment. I?m just a little confused as to how my post inspired it.

I like to think of her as a kinda caricature reaction to the absurdity that sometimes manifests itself in London.

Do people actually do this? Seriously? I?ve never met anyone who sneers at those they imagine less fortunate. In fact I don?t know anyone who sneers at anyone for any reason really. Well except my uncle?s new wife but she?s the exception to a pretty constant rule.
  20. Bullshit bullshit bullshit bullshit bullshit. I?ve stayed mostly out of this because it is just that. But to suddenly start discharging ideas about the general contributors to this forum being somehow exclusively white or perceiving themselves to be somehow separate to some unrepresented black community is just bollocks. For christ sake a lot of you sound like a bunch of petulant teenagers having a rant when what you should be is a concerned community.
  21. No no. Sean you said it much better than me. I am terribly afflicted with sarcasm sometimes.
  22. That?s kinda what I was saying Sean except I was being arsy and flippant about it.
  23. Isn?t there also a bowling green in Dulwich Park? Perhaps we could procure its use one sunny, summer Saturday or something.
  24. Ah but are you statistically more likely to be abducted by aliens if you are America? Are there any statistics for alien abduction in London?
  25. I'm quite sure I have no idea what you are getting at. ;-)
