I really don?t see what the hang-up is. I was brought up in what from my observations was a far more socially conservative environment with stricter rules for decorum than are evident in London. But it has never occurred to me to be in the least bit offended or even taken aback by someone breastfeeding in public. There is nothing unhygienic (like there is with changing a nappy) or improper (it isn?t like breastfeeding mothers are being suggestive) about it. So where does the hang-up come from?
Well if someone is either endangering or harassing people then I think you should tell the cops. Then it probably shouldn?t be discussed on public forum until they have dealt with it.
Let?s face it: London in general is a dump. South London has more really crap areas though which makes the parts which aren?t similar to inhabiting a war zone that little bit more of a novelty. This in turn attracts the bitter resentment of individuals who feel somehow alienated by these people who aren?t like them so therefore must have some kind of sinister agenda behind all that brazen respect they display for themselves, their environment and those around them.
Now, now everyone's entitled to an opinion. But honk didn?t you mean to say, ?Cue a bunch of predicable sneering, white, snobs posting drivel regarding the areas you mention.??
Now, now *Bob* don?t be too hard on them. It must be tough, all those aspirations of trading up to N1 and then ending up in the obscurity of SEsomethingorother.
The Castle has one. I think the FHT has one too. There are plenty of ?drinking? pubs around. Just not along the high street. Get your boots on and take a look around.
