  1. Well that?s very magnanimous of you. Personally I was just slipping comfortably into my own national stereotype and being justifiably arrogant.
  2. How many devils can you fit upon a match?

This is very true (although difficult to say without sounding critical rather than just observant) I see it as the source of so much unhappiness in so many people I know. It brings out the worst in people. It isn?t intrinsically in people?s nature but rather a by-product of a ?greed is good? culture imposed by those with power because it justifies their exploitation of people and resources.

  5. That Aston is pretty but it?s about 15 year too young to be a proper car yet.
  6. I?m not adverse to private healthcare especially in developed first world nations where people are empowered to take advantage of the increased choice. I was really just being facetious. Although when it comes to these 3 points: (1)Protection from foreign enemies (2) Ensuring a sound currency (3) Maintaining law and order. 1 and 3 are pretty straight forward. 2 is however multifaceted and just on the surface involves the provision of infrastructure and satisfactory social conditions.
  7. Well I suppose now that we have nationalised the banks we may as well privatise the health service.
  8. Favourite car I?ve ever had was the 1979 Mercedes W123 I drove for a while. Favourite ever? That?s a bit difficult. It?s like trying to choose your favourite song but for styling reason only: The original ?55 T-Bird, First generation Ford Mustang, Porsche 356 speedster, Alpha GT Junior.
  9. Are you talkin? to me? Are you talkin? to me?
  10. One that compliments your boots.
  11. Well the beer you drink in JDWs comes from the same breweries as that in other pubs. It?s just generally cheaper. So if you don?t mind/notice the crummyness of some of them then there?s no problem. Granted the food is crap but I have yet to have a burger in a pub, whether I?ve paid ?15 or ?5 for it, which has been any good anyway. Personally I don?t mind some of them if I?m with a group of people just for drinks. I wouldn?t go for the atmosphere though.
  12. Well the entire problem is a lack or manners and respect for women. Which was clearly evident and in the least deserving of a smack in the head, be the perpetrator black, white or purple.
  13. There is also a fox on a hill just North of us.
  14. It's all just Sydenham North
  15. Oh well. I?m just trying to rile people up.
  16. Juxtaposing ones failing against those of your critics does not absolve one of them.
  17. I prefer the poise of Mediterraneans but each to their own.
  18. Don?t worry about your Alpha falling apart it would appear that being an Alpha mechanic in ED is a popular choice of career especial considering the amount of interest there is on another thread about their course. There appears to be a lawyer who is considering retraining as one. Anyway my house has more throw cushions, picture frames and candles than any one abode should. I blame Northcross Road.

DM knows about political correctness, specifically who would be the correct politicians to invite to a garden party.

  21. And sometimes there is an adjoining field.
  22. CPT is good for cricket as long as Scunthorpe isn?t playing Wigan in an off season charity friendly or suchlike soccer nonsense.
  23. Would you just look at these silly English folk and their cricket then.
  24. Hmmm.. Sun, bikinis and cold beer. *drifts off* (and I won?t mention cricket this time) Have a good one!
  25. I remember once being in a town that was very nice and being surprised when I found out it was Exeter.
