  2. I had 3 emails from ebay yesterday but as I am not bidding on or selling anything at the moment I just deleted them without reading them. I did think it odd though as I have requested not to get any unnecessary crap from ebay and normally don?t.
  3. I pop in once in a while. I avoid it at certain times though as it can be pretty edgy.

  5. And I'm still finding iTunes anoying. *blubber* You know what it is. I used to be down with all the geeky shit man. Hell I used develop and support bespoke software. I have now been out of it for 5 years and I feel like I have completely lost touch. I feel a bit like someone?s nan trying to use the computer for the first time. Or one of those guys who still insisted on using windows 3.1 well into this century.
  6. You see. ;-)
  7. My Bossanova and Trompe Le Monde CDs were both bought at the same time from the same shop in about ?99. Trompe Le Monde is pretty loud on the iPod where as Bossanova is quite soft. I know there were a few years between the two but I think they were on the same label and produced by the same people.
  8. Particularly Porsche and Mercedes.
  9. I have often wondered how they get Guinness to taste better in some pubs. I agree that the Castle is definitely the best pint of Guinness in ED. Followed by the CTP.
  10. I find the way he intentionally annoys so many people amusing. Especially when they rise to it. I still disagree with him on most things though. Especially cars.
  11. Although the PA should probably be able to sort it out.
  12. It was something about daffodils and fluffy bunnies.
  13. Cool thanks Mockney. I'll check them out tonight. I'm putting the iPod through a PA for the music at our weddng and I don't think it will be that great if the levels keep on changing.
  14. I have never seen a Byzantine emperor in Victorian dress before. Interesting.
  15. Any idea if there is anything that can be done about it?
  16. While we?re on the topic does anyone know if there is anything you can do about the volume levels of songs being different depending on the CD they came from? Older CDs seem to be really soft while newer CDs and downloaded music are much louder. This causes bleeding eardrums when I have cranked it up to hear the Ramones properly and then Metallica comes on next a million decibels louder. I had this problem with my Sony but it wasn?t as noticeable as with the iPod. Spadetownboy. As you can tell I have recently made the jump you are considering. It is not as bad as I am making out. I can be melodramatic sometimes. I went for the Nano by the way. Mostly because it was cheaper and I couldn?t see myself using 80g.
  17. I just have a short fuse with software that doesn't work how I think it should. (6)
  18. See I didn't know I could use MP3s on the iPod so I now have most of my CD collection on my hard drive in MP3 as well as in the apple format. I only made the jump to an iPod recently having used other MP3 players for the last few years and although the iPod itself is good I don't like the iTunes interface. I also don't like the corporate ethos of making you do things their way. We all know how computers, external devices and folder systems work. Why can?t we just use them?
  19. Why should they have to meet a quota? That is like saying that X amount of people have to be arrested for murder every year regardless of how many murders actually occur.
  20. So am I going too far in feeling that iTunes? restrictive interface and unique file formats are another corporate plot to curtail my civil liberties?
  21. I put Borris in the same category as Jeremy Clarkson. Just because I find him entertaining doesn?t mean I agree with him. He?s just a dancing monkey. Then again Ken is also a tit.
  22. Fucking iTunes (6) Facist constraints trying to restrict everything I do!
  23. Do you now have the pepper pot resting on the FN key Asset?
  24. "In a segment on the television series This Hour Has 22 Minutes during the 2000 American election, Rick Mercer convinced then-Governor of Texas George W. Bush that Canada's Prime Minister, Jean Chr?tien, was named Jean Poutine and that he was supporting Bush's candidacy. A few years later when Bush made his first official visit to Canada, he joked during a speech, "There's a prominent citizen who endorsed me in the 2000 election, and I wanted a chance to finally thank him for that endorsement. I was hoping to meet Jean Poutine." The remark was met with laughter and applause." lol
