  1. If my children end up being annoying I?m going to leave some ridiculous request like having my head stuffed and brought out once a year at Christmas and set on the dinner table. Or there is that thing where they take your ashes and make you into a diamond. I would quite like to be made into a diamond and then fashioned into a nipple ring for dusky belly dancer.
  2. Can?t get a decent puffin anywhere in East Dulwich these days.
  3. Flaming pyre at sunset on a summers evening please. I would quite like some dancing naked ladies too.

Doesn't mean I have to like it. :'(
  5. Yeah I was wondering about that too. I got an image of one of those paintings with the dogs playing poker or summat all dressed in people clothes.
  6. So if Peter Patrelli absorbs other people?s powers and he had already absorbed his brother?s flying power, why didn?t he just fly himself up into the stratosphere to explode, thereby avoiding blowing up New York without killing his brother in the process? Oh and also, if it was already established that exploding like an atom bomb wouldn?t kill Peter because he had absorbed Clare?s regeneration power why was everyone so worried about Clare staying behind for the explosion? Surely she would also survive. Why didn?t Hiro just stop time and cut Syler?s head off? I?m very confused about the whole business.
  7. Dear Waste Warrior. I for one enjoy the continually repetitive Foxotn?s threads if only for the entertainment value in the exasperated reactions from everyone else. Anyway welcome to the forum. Careful though, it is very addictive and soon you may get so engrossed that you?re too busy thinking up limericks and top ten lists to even care about Foxton?s.
  8. It?s still here. It is now watertight and you enter from the dock on the roof. You get to watch seals, salmon and the odd shopping trolley go past the windows while you drink. You can smoke inside again as they have done some more research and figured out that smoking was actually good for you all along. They still need to re-carpet the back room. And the bogs still look and smell the same.
  9. You make a good point CWALD. Different cultures have different attitudes towards animals. It was a daily fact of life growing up in Africa where there were lots of different cultures, all vastly different to one another. I saw some horrific things done to animals. Personally though I don?t think we have to accept what we perceive as cruelty just because it is accepted in someone else?s culture. Well I won?t at least.
  10. Come on. Move it along. No sleeping on this thread.
  11. I think, from what I?ve heard, that these are pretty common in South London and either have something to do with weather balloons from Crystal Palace, Chinese lanterns or aliens.
  12. Pay no attention to First Mate Birdseye there he?s always trying to mess with you unsophisticated folk from the past. Anyway he has an urgent delivery to make to Goose Green island. I never should have let that AOL salesman convince me to get the Time Browsing application installed on the Nuclear Gondola?s computer network.
  13. Here?s Free Fallin? by Tom Petty (One of my favourite artists) that Keef posted on the favourite songs thread. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCAMU9wspfQ For those into Hollywood scandal and trivia the vid stars Mark ?Gator? the pro skateboarder convicted of murdering his girlfriend in the early ?90s
  14. It was just the drugs talking
  15. If you google a line form a song you will normally get a few results that are lyrics sheets or music for that song. If it doesn?t work try putting quotations around the line.
  16. Oh so Dolly Parton wrote it. Fancy that. I am not as familiar with her music as I am her chest. Anyway I was referring to the Whitney Houston version which makes my blood run cold.
  17. Like I said before I go through favorite songs like I do pints on a Friday but the best a song has ever made me feel was a few years back, I had a few weeks to myself. I was driving one of these: Through this: The closest town was at least 2 hours away and this came on the radio: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9eW91-5TC78 Worst song? It would have to be: And I, eeeeee yyyieeeeeehhhh Will always love yooooooo woooooo hoooooo By whoever the hell wrote the horrible thing.
  18. I can?t commit to one or even 10 favorite songs as it is so situational. That and there are so many out there that I haven?t heard yet and people keep writing new ones. It all gets very, very stressful and confusing.
  19. That is the problem with famous figures. They have sought fame or power through what they do, which in its self is a flaw to their credibility. There are those who have just done something we consider impressive but these things are very rarely selfless.

  21. Hunter S. Thompson for his ability to amuse, inflame and enlighten all at the same time. I simply admire him for his writing. I don?t have any ?heroes? as such. Humanity is too flawed to deserve my idolatry.
