  1. Good on you Colin - let's hope for a happy outcome...
  2. I've emailed admin a couple of times about help retieving private messages - when I open my inbox it says messages no longer available for viewing.....
  3. We used to get a video on a Friday night as a treat, however, some of the titles on offer were frankly depply sexist/racsit/scary titles. And I was only 9.
  4. so to be clear, 999 or 101? I really don't want to waste police time especially as I really did not see much to give any kind of decription.
  5. In my back garden henryb?...hardly the thread to making distasteful jokes on.
  6. No I didn't as I really did not get a good look but I will do. I'm in Overhill Road.
  7. Just to say I was watching TV on the sofa with the lights out the other afternoon around 3pm ish and a man appeared at the window at the side of my house - no-one needs to be there as it's my side aspect and not my main front door. Not thinking I was there he ducked off and before I could get off the sofa to see what he wanted he was gone. Not sure if it was anything to be worried about - it freaked me out a bit. I'm probably quite complacent as I have 2 dogs, but clearly people are out 'scouting'.
  8. They're hideous looking....the builders have been here for the last month constructing some out-building storage space, and laying a lawn....still looks grim. I met a lovely couple a while back who had moved in (the only one to have done so) but whether they're still there or not I don;t know. And you don;t have to be on the P13 to see into the bedroom from Underhill Road. What were they thinking? As far as parking goes, you park on the street!!
  9. **YAWN**
  10. they're shooting stills for something - we were asked very politely to move away with our dogs while they shot the lovely labrador model and the flowers.
  11. Tarot - you're hysterical. Not only is your own grasp of the English language very questionable, you read an article in a paper which to be fair, is not the most popular - especially round here. You then make very judgemental and hutrtful comments of a personal nature about a very well-respected doctor within the nieghbourhood, and then expect to be taken seriously? Are you stupid AND Jealous?? Or just stupid?
  12. does the Oxtube go through Woodstock?
  13. Can you even buy the Daily Mail in East Dulwich...?
  14. Love Boris, Hated the bendy buses - Biggest cause of traffic jams ever. Looking forward to reading his latest book on London.

  16. Mark clearly wasn't there to 'man up' when it happened.....mo...no, I won't.
  17. I was at the lord palmerston when a guy brandishing a 5 foot sabre-toothed sword entered and wafted it about the place demanding money etc....it was during the drought in 2003 where only certain places were serving food (Le Chardon - bless 'em) And so we were forced to the other place open and (illegally) serving food with no running water; Stab and Crime (I mean, kebab and wine. Ahhh those were the days!:-S
  18. What would you like in a roast that doesn't have meat involved? They usually serve nutroast...
  19. me too...my brother worked in the Foresters. Don't remember the Millwall fans leaping all over the tables! For starters, they never win anything....:(
  20. You've obviously never been there for Sunday lunch / or in the Summer! The food is excellent - as The Palmerston but a fraction of the price.
  21. I do.....? Si Mangia OK...seafood pasta great, service outstanding, but other than that....meh. Yellow and blue restaurant I used to go to loads when it was open and that was amazing but no-one liked it. Guess Fish and chips is the catchment's preference. French Cafe ditto: excellent service, food ok. they let dogs in but I wouldn't take mine dining so that's not a good enough selling point for me. Best place for food without doubt is The Herne (at least on Forest Hill Road...)
  22. I live in a 5 flat house-conversion. We're all single. We all have one each (inc the green and brown ones = 3 each) You can have at least one of ours as it's now nigh on impossible to move the cars up the driveway and frankly, they spoil the look of the front garden.
  23. @ Marie81 Think you may have missed the point. Not the funniest of posts, but surely a joke?
