Ripped off by hedge trimmer!

Hi! If anyone has an Irish man knocking at the door offering to cut back your hedge/tree etc can you kindly ask him to go back and finish the job he's half finished and that he's already been paid for! What a mug I am giving him the money half way through!

I was approached by this man in summer when he saw our garden was so overgrown and at risk of bringing down our fence. However he became very angry with me when I said I didn't want to pay him to do it because my partner and I would do it ourselves. He was utterly outraged! I found him quite threatening to be honest.

I was approached by him too in the autumn, just a week after we had done our hedge. Told him we didn't need it thanks as it was obviously not needed!

Was his spiel something like "I've just finished another job and I have a half-empty lorry, so I can do you a good price to clear up your garden"? If so, he was around near us over summer. I sent him away as I intended to do it myself. Never did, though...
